They are really cracking down on AFKers. They have people in game looking for them, people can report them and they have been doing server resets everyday to combat the problem.

I'd be careful about running a macro, i think i remember reading somewhere that they have macro detection or are going to implement it and there might be consequences. I'll see if i can find an official statement on this but i know for a fact they are really taking action to stop this. But you are right, the way it is now, the game promotes AFK. I'm not going to go to the extent of macros though.

I don't want to chop these trees till I know Troy wants them cut!!

And for me, Aspens are maturing in 10.5 hours, not the 14 the game says. Anyone else see this?

A few things that i'm finding on the most updated FAQ:
I saw someone using a botting script in-game, what's being done about it?

We're taking a very aggressive stance on handling botting, exploiting, and other forms of illegal gameplay. For example, in the last day alone (9/18), we've blocked more than 5000 bad accounts from making purchases and have banned more than 3000 others from the game.

not that macros are botting, but still..

Is leveling my mount while I'm AFK permitted?

No, not when we have server queues. Our Game Masters will be kicking players who are AFK and leveling their mounts to make room for active players.

Note that we've been more aggressively sweeping AFKers, even manually when needed. For example, while we had said during beta that we were tentatively tolerant of AFK mount riding, we'd be keeping an eye out to see if it became a problem. Well, it's officially a problem when actual players who will be playing can't get in.

If you're not actively playing, please do be aware that you might not be there when you get back. Of course, while we do appreciate creative justifications such as "I am merely celebrating the excitement of launch by exercising my steed in a circular pattern for an extended period of time," those will still earn a quick trip to desktop.

We're also going to be setting up a more aggressive AFK timer as is suited to an over-popular launch, and ensuring that there are fewer ways to get around it. Again, this is all to create the greatest opportunity to get active human beings into the game.

So i guess you're ok creating macros from what i've found. but they are doing server resets every morning. the last few days were around 11am eastern.

Yes, different plants grow faster or slower depending on what climate you're in. i believe Two Crowns is a temperate region.

CHOP EM! only good for wood... you are talking about the Hornbeam trees or whatever they're called, right?

i don't think it really matters.. think the hornbeam yields more logs, but have a larger footprint.

Is it bad that I saw ads for this on PC Gamer today and it made me think of ArcheAge?

The farming here is not anywhere near a farm sim, to me. You have a ton of farming options (animals, plants, etc), but no major upkeep. It's definitely Farmville over Farm Sim.

I verified I'm getting 10/5 lp, so that's good.

Who is closest on the next large farm?

Lumber is moving at 65s.

Seen 50-75 the last 24 hours

Some interesting finds on the auction house:

2x thatched farmhouse designs for 80 or 100 gold.
The glider I use for 50 gold
Tax Certificates for 30 silver/piece
Labor Potions are now 5g.25s

The market is all over the place. You could be making a killing if you did it right.

I've been very successful with finding wild trees. 60 logs away from a full lumber pack for the next build.

For what it's worth, my farm has family status, feel free to chop/replant the trees that are currently growing on it. I'm not able to play the game through the week like the rest of you, I'm unfortunately confined to the weekends. I'd also be fine with passing on my account info if anybody wants to level my character up? ;D hehehe.

I'm done with quest 3 and planting narcissist plants. Just saw that I need shrooms too. Will be planting a ton of the 4th run stuff tomorrow. Should be ready in the next day or so I'm guessing.

Will it be done via row boat or will we have something bigger?

Planted an illegal cotton farm in Gweonid Forest. When I came back to harvest 2 hours later there was a level 30 red there. He tried to push my off the ledge a few times. The farm was about 55 cotton. We proceeded to fight over harvesting it as it matured. He was fast. I got maybe 60% of it because I knew what was coming.

5 cotton left, I accidentally attack him going for it. And he can then attack me back. he killed me fast, 10 level difference didn't help.

Still got 250 cotton out of the deal. He probably got more.

In retrospect it was a very large illegal cotton farm

i planted a ton of narcissits plants around my house last night and some mushrooms. Go ahead and pull and replant those if ya can. I'm not sure how much or if i'll be able to be on tonight so do what needs to be done. I'm also trying to get the ingredients together for the 4th trade run so keep planting the narcissit and shrooms.

We can try and do the trade run together when we get a clipper. We aren't that far off from having the materials to make one. We just need to build the dock (10 lumber and 10 iron ingot) then we can build the boat (1 iron, fabric, and lumber bundle). Well, i've already got an iron bundle ready to go from all the iron ingots we have, our lumber is really starting to flow in now and i planted a bunch of cotton on the house yesterday and pulled up 325 of them! at 8 cottons to make 1 fabric, i've already got 40 of the 100 fabrics needed to build a bundle. Looks like Troy has got lots of cotton from his adventures too, so we are well on our way to having the resources for a Clipper.

Once we get the resources for our 4th trade pack together we can buy the Clipper deed for 50GS (i have 47 currently, but i think Cake said he has 50). Then we can build our boat and make a run across the sea. Then we will have 2 more large farms!

I think it's 10 cotton per fabric. Only takes 3 wool though, so sheeps rule.

I finished the green quest quickly yesterday and have 50 GS.

I got soccer though, so won't be on until later.
