I think we got a change of plans. at first we were gonna build Cake's farmhouse next but the resources are pretty steep at this point. So for 2 stone packs and a lumber pack we can get a small house built and put 4 aspen trees on it and some other small stuff. This will help get our lumber production going while I go for my large farm quest.

I already put a stone pack into Cake farmhouse earlier today so that can't be changed. So we are starting with my house, cause i said so.. I already installed one stone pack so we only need one more of those and a lumber pack. I have 16 stone bricks in inventory (we need 100 to make a stone pack) and i have 29 lumber (we need 100 to make a lumber pack). So we aren't very far off from having the first small house built then we can build the other smalls. I think this is the best way to get extra production out of our facilities.

Even before building a house, we should be getting more farms. A ton of time and resources for 4 trees seems not right. But we start planting trade quest resources, more farms, then profit.

Troy, can you spell out the resources for the large farm quest shit? I'm getting conflicting info on the internet being they are coming from alpha/beta times.

1 30 Grapes 50 Trimmed meat
2 12 Goose Feathers 50(?) Fruit Puree
3 12 Olives 50 dried flower
4 190 Narciuss (bottleneck) 50 medicinal powder

hell swamp and many of the pvp areas are nearly empty

I die a lot when I go exploring, sometimes to high level red players

The first 3 trade runs are easy to complete, i've got most of those items in my inventory and can give you what you need. Or they can be purchased from the AH for a fairly resonable price.

The last one is all that matters, the Narciuss will take some time. So while we are getting the quests done for the large farm we use the resources we do have to build small houses. We can also plant stuff along the sides of the houses too along with the trees. I've got the resources for the 3rd quest already, just gotta make the run then i can concentrate on getting what i need for the 4th.

i had some pretty good luck finding random trees in White Arden lastnight, bigger ones too Aspens, birch... Also i was able to find a spot in the free tree farm, you can plant 5 at a time there, just make sure to replant when you chop them so you can secure that space.

Supply beginning to catch up to demand on lumber. Saw it going for 55/unit on the Auction House last night. Bricks still seem to go for 20-25 silver.

Compared to the thatched it's pretty easy to build the regular house. Could use the space for cloth production, I haven't checked the pricing on that yet, but I bet it's not cheap.

Or we could just build a boat and everyone gets a large farm at once.

I can give better directions on the row-boat route, ;P

Don't run the trench - that's where the tie fighters are.

Looking at the materials needed to build the Clipper, you need to build a platform first. Thats easy enough with only 10 lumber and 10 iron ingots needed. Then 1 lumber, iron, and fabric bundle to complete the ship.

So maybe getting cotton growing would be a good idea at some point.

Illegal cotton farm this afternoon? What's the maturity timer? that's an easy plant to hide.

Other way to get fabric is Sheep. Which are easily ringed around a small house.

Cotton: 2h (water 1h 48m)

I'm curious, what exactly makes these farms illegal? I keep hearing the terms like "illegal cork farm" and it has me wondering.

I'm finding the most scarce resource in the game is fucking labor points. Super dumb system that REALLY holds you back. I try to stay online all day/night just to get as many as I can. Dumb.

And those hornbeam trees are done. Are we replanting more of those? Leaving them alone? Not sure what to do with them.

Troy has a small farm that is not famlied. Can't cut the done aspens down.

They aren't necessarily "illegal" but for some reason people refer to them as so.. Maybe its because you are planting a resource and not paying taxes on it. Regardless, its perfectly legal, but people can take them if they find them.

Cut em down! Troy prolly planted them because he had some in his inventory. They are one of the few trees you can plant in the free farm White Arden. They are big, but they give good wood.. heh.. good wood

Pay attention and make sure you are getting 10LP per 5 mins when you're playing. I've read on the forums that some people that have patron status are not actually receiving the correct LP gains. If you're not, make a ticket.

Oh, okay, good. So unsecured farm would be a more accurate description.

I thought maybe this game was turning into one where instead of fixing the game code to change what you can do they were just declaring some perfectly reasonable actions as bannable offenses. I hate when an MMO takes that approach and was worried.

Tasmanian still not part of the family as far as I know. Anyone else using their alt's small farm?

You can buy labor potions for less than 3 gold on the auction house as of yesterday, not sure it's all the limiting? 12 hour cool-down sucks though. Using last nights economy, that's 6 boards for 1,000 labor.

TPR - Illegal is my justification when I gank someone's shit :p

Further, they say scamming is legal, so assume the other guy is trying to fuck you over in strange trade proposals.

You know what it reminds me of? Zynga games and their daily activity points or whatever the fuck they were. To get more, and thus, play the "F2P" game more than just a few moves that day, you needed to spend real money.

Ya, that's pretty much what you have here. Long term, I don't THINK it will be as much of an issue. But early, when you are trying to rush a ton of production, it's very limiting. But once I have my house/farm done. It's just crafting labor at that point and I doubt that will be as intense as early build stuff is.

I think it's dumb that they lower the offline regen because it is a strong incentive to stay on, afk, for the double regen rate.

I'm building macros with my programmable keyboard to keep me logged in. I came back to the PC disconnected this morning. Not sure what happened. Did macro not do it's job? Did they figure out that I was just spinning in a circle? Did the servers get reset? Haven't been able to monitor the macro long term yet. I'm going to modify it so that I'm moving forward and backward now, instead of just spinning.
