I was thinking in the car this morning, we should be the ones to name this age. In the past you had the Great Awakening, which saw the return of the olde tyme religion. Then you had The Reconstruction, which rebuilt the South after the Civil War.

So what do we call the age that started a few years ago? The Great Realignment (or what is considered allowable to say in public)? The Great Sensitizing? The Snowflakening?
I think they call it post modernism.

I dunno. The advent of guilt before innocence, always believe the accuser, ban speech in the name of freedom, and mob justice feels very different from how the world was even a decade ago.

I think it's still post modernism. 10 years ago people thought, "That's just stupid. People will never go along with that". That was before the fringe took control.

The "Sanity Bit" could be used for the constant haters, too.

It's all voluntary. One can choose to not filter these people from their lives, we just need that tag put into place.

But I think I would. I filtered Malcolm, after all.

I still think we need to implement this. And today I thought of a new usage for it: as a flag to identify anyone under the age of 25. They shouldn't be allowed anywhere on the internet, outside of video games. No one under the age of 25 has an opinion about any subject that isn't idiotic.

And if they're clever enough to bypass it, and mature enough to trick people when they talk about politics, then more power to them.

Every teenage boy in the world wants you to go fuck yourself. (You need to allow them access to porn, not just video games.)

MAYBE. It's being demonstrated that the most rational, calm discussion on the internet is in pornhub video comments, since peeps just nutted and are feeling civil.

I suppose my "Identification Bit" would look something like this.

https://www.businessinsider.com/china-t ... es-2019-10

That seems easily spoofed. As it is China, I automatically assume it'll be abused by the government.

I think you'd need quick DNA scans, at least. Perhaps a code in your arm that changes every 15 seconds, unique to you.

I decided one of the ways I would use this tech is to automatically internet-mute anyone under the age of 23.

\Well, now that YOU mention it.... no, I was thinking latex masks. Or possibly just a picture of a face on a stick.

Or just wear the face of your victim...

They'll figure out some QR code to put on their forehead that'll completely scramble the face recognizer.

I just feel that particular thing will be easily spoofed.

Bumping. I'm amused that my original idea was to silence idiots.... though that is still a valid usage. People don't want to be subjected to my stupid thoughts.

But complete anonymity doesn't work in a society, we've learned that. No accountability = no responsibility. Using twitter polls and data is worthless, when 99% of it is dishonest. And yet our "leaders" use it for data mining.
