Coach K ran out of timeouts with 2 minutes left in the game. Now the refs have stopped the action THREE times to "review the clock" in the past minute. Hope Coach K thanks them for all the free timeouts.

Freshmen Ineligibility?

Big Ten considering it. Apparently, so are the Pac 12 and Big 12.

Only works if they all do it at once. Holdouts would clean up.

Yeah, I expect the SEC will try to game the system, like they did with the previous system.

But... why? An ideal path would be some kind of pragmatic "this guy isn't ready, give him a year" but they already have that, and it's called red-shirting, right?

I had the same thought, but I guess there's also a push to dump red-shirting.

So remove a flexible policy that lets those who are ready play, and those who aren't to wait a year, and replace it with one that forces everyone to wait a year?

I dont get it.

I don't either. I saw the "one and done" players mentioned, and I'm curious if it's a way to get them to stick around? Or maybe it's what they'll implying and it's a legit way to get kids to stick around longer for their degree?

Ha! Someone in the Pac12 has sour grapes.

We'll try to keep our obnoxious drinking to a minimum while we enjoy our national championship.

Thad Matta became OSU's winningest coach tonight with 298 wins.

Shows how unimportant basketball has been there.

When you're doing your brackets this year, don't move them very far. I'm thinking 1 and done.

Someone setup a Yahoo bracket for DTMan.

By the way, how far has the NIT fallen? It used to be the premier tournament and decided the national championship. I'm not sure what happened and when that shifted it to the second tier tournament, but now it gets mocked.

CBS ran a graphic after the bracket was revealed called: Close but NIT. Below those words it said "Not In Tournament".

I'm sure the NIT folks were thrilled with that.

lol. What does that mean for the CBI and CIT? For the record, the NCAA actually owns the NIT.

History: The NIT came first. But the NCAA has been the big dog since the 50's.

This is the least inspired I've ever felt about brackets.

I have zero faith in them.

This year has been ridiculous.
