Hillary keeps trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
With two months to go before the presidential election, a major poll released this morning (CNN/ORC) revealed that the “prohibitive favorite” (Clinton) is down by two points nationally to the one of the worst presidential candidates since the advent of the indoor flush toilet: Donald J. Trump.

Which just goes to show: No one — not the bullpen of the New York Mets, not the French army, not Wile E. Coyote, not even Al Gore — is better at squandering a commanding lead than the Queen of Coasting, Hillary Rodham Clinton. And nobody is better at handing her adversaries talking points to undermine trust, on emails, on the Clinton Foundation, on her own refusal to do something as simple as talking to the reporters who cover her every day.

Someone was discussing her latest coughing fit and stated that both candidates are so disliked, the possibility of her not being able to fulfill a full term due to her health might actually get her more votes.

Holy christ.

I have been hearing there have been cover ups that she's sickly, but she looks practically "Weekend at Bernie's," here.

edit - Here's an embed. You can see how she was unconscious on her feet.

Ha, someone already had that idea.

This is the second funniest thing I have seen collapse on 9/11.

If she's this sick, it puts a new spin on things: vote Hillary and hope illness takes her out or vote drumpf and hope an assassin takes him out.

I've had shitty bacterial pneumonia before. If I had the cash and a daily routine I simply could not stop, I'd definitely have someone walking behind me with a needle full of stims and B12.

I remember when McCain was too old and unhealthy to be president.

BTW, are we assuming the "pneumonia" is a non-lie, this time? Like, is she due to tell the truth for a change? I don't want to assume anything, but come on. I'd bet a dollar it's another lie.

I remember when everyone thought Bob Dole would be dead before election day. I've got no more problem with a sickly Hillary than I do with a healthy one.

Also I am amused that the doctor who has been covering up whatever health problems she has now says "pneumonia" when *something* could no longer be hidden.

I mean, again, I don't know for sure, but this is not an honest, forthcoming person we are talking about.

In fact, isn't it absolutely moronic to think she would be truthful about something like a bad illness, at this point?

No more honest than her opponent would be.

Ducking the question.

The woman is not known for being honest and forthright. I think Vegas odds would say "lying."

This is very damaging for her. To the point Democrats are talking about an exit strategy for her. I can't help but think part of what has them spooked is the fact that we're going on 12 hours since this story broke and Trump hasn't done anything to screw it up. I suspect his iPhone was taken away or his Twitter password changed. Or he may have gotten a hold of some advisors that have actually been able to get him to listen. But this is the first time I can remember him not doing something to get the focus back on him and off of Hillary, usually to her benefit and his detriment. I recalled seeing something a couple of weeks ago along the lines of:

FBI: We found 30 emails Hillary did not turn over on Benghazi
Trump: Gotcha
(Stepping to mic)
"I'm going to Mexico!"

I don't think she'd hesitate to tell the truth if being honest had higher utility than lying. She's not pathologically opposed to truth, she just has absolutely no regard for it.

The smartest thing Trump could have said today: "My prayers are with Hillary and her family, today."

Well, yeah. I almost put it in quotes when I posted.

SO she has pneumonia and they've known since friday, and they staged that photo op with the little girl coming up to hug her today after she slipped past the secret service, so when that little girl dies of pneumonia in a couple weeks they are going to have to kill her entire family and make another call to CNN to bury it.

Christ, what a disaster.

Honestly, she's probably not very contagious. Bacterial pneumonia doesn't spread easily, and if she's been on antibiotics two days already, it's probably OK. The kid's immune system being in proper shape, assuming.
