Suddenly the media is concerned about cybersecurity concerning Hillary's emails. Go figure.
Because no one says a man can become a woman. A trans person isn't becoming, they always were. Transitioning isn't about changing, it's about finally being able to express what was always true. At least that's the general idea.I see the historic significance of first woman nominee, but I don't understand how those who say a man can become a woman think it matters now.
Actually, the Benghazi mom was really effective as well. However, preempting her with your largest audience on Fox News by calling in to O'Reilly's show was stupid. And it was effective in pointing out how the media treats the two parties. Benghazi mom speaking = exploitive. Muslim parents speaking = moving.Malcolm wrote:The dad of the dead Muslim army vet destroyed Trump and resonated in the way the Benghazi mom didn't.

That's not news or relevant. It's only relevant when something like that happens to a Republican. That's when it becomes, "He was hand selected!", "Trump supports terrorism", and blah blah blah.Vince wrote:Pretty much the definition of "Bad optics"
Keep smoking, Donnie.Hillary wants to essentially abolish the 2nd amendment.
Must be nice to get subsidized kickbacks for people who have a nontrivial chance of being unable to pay you back. The bulk of Laureate's revenues come from their international schools - the company has about 800,000 students in more than 70 schools in 30 countries. Walden University is the company's flagship school in the United States.
...
The federal student loan program has been good to Walden University. According to several studies, Walden students carry some of the highest student loan debts in the country. A 2015 Brookings Institution study found that by 2014 Walden students had accumulated $9.8 billion in debt, second only to the University of Phoenix. A 2015 study by the Center for American Progress found that Walden students received the most federal graduate loans in the 2013-2014 academic year, with over $756 million. The 2012 Senate investigation found that over 70 percent of the school's revenue came from federal financial aid programs.
As if that's something to be proud of. The idea behind for-profit knowledge is that the public system is so fucked, bloated, and expensive that a lean, mean, capitalist machine can do twice the work for half the cost.According to third-party research, the average student loan amount for graduate students at Walden is comparable to the graduate students who attended non-profit universities.
Nice in theory, but in any segment of the market where government has a hand there can be no real competitive capitalism, there can only be cheaters looking for ways to cheat money out of the system. And there's a whole hell of a lot of government in the education sector.Malcolm wrote:As if that's something to be proud of.
