Democrats are playing this a lot smarter than Republicans did. Email issues come out and Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been ejected from the convention. The grassroots Democrats want to reform the superdelegate system and the Democrats appear to be willing to look at it.
Meanwhile the Republican grassroots are threatened for wanting to offer incentives for closing Republican primaries.
Just looking at the behavior of the leadership of the two parties, I almost think it'd be easier to make the Democrats a small government constitutional party than the Republicans.

Are some of your neighbours making meth and having the fumes drift over to your place?

After the DNC did the smart thing and ejected DWS, it appears that now Hillary is going to do the stupid thing and bring her into her campaign and poke Sanders' supporters in the eye. So more or less she's going to pull a Trump by calling Sanders' supporters JFK assassins or something.
We deserve whatever we get out of this.

I would agree had I not just watched the Republican convention where every solution was more government and we are going to reduce the debt and waste by simply asking departments to identify waste and then we can get rid of it.
Holy shit mister Trump! That's BRILLIANT! So glad we have a leader of your overwhelming good brain to fix these things!

Let's not go crazy now. All because elephants can't play a tuba doesn't mean a donkey is more likely to be able to.
Neither party has a chance in hell of every being small anything, except brains.

I was really saying that tongue in cheek, but I like the tuba line

It's a ruse. They'll pretend to listen in an effort to get them on board the Hillary express, but in the end, she's the candidate.

Absolutely it's a ruse. And had the emails not leaked it would probably have worked. The Republicans don't even fake caring about the grassroots small government conservatives' grievances. They're told to sit down and shut up and vote as they're told.

DNC conspiring to create false Trump information and release with Reuters.
Overkill. There's already plenty on him.

And if this doesn't work, Bernie and Hillary are going on "Dancing with the Stars."

Things like that are complete double standards. If Trump can be a cheeto orangutan, then Mrs. Bill as a WASP hyena is fair game.

I wasn't being sarcastic, I think Samantha Bee was lame for stifling an obvious sendup, and TBS was lame for rolling over.

Wikileaks dropped emails specifically to fuck over Mrs. Bill. Gee, if I had the chance to do that to the people who'd been indirectly keeping me holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy for four years running, I wonder how I'd react.

Michael Moore taught them that trick, releasing all the anti-W stuff right before the elections.
