WASD movement coming to League starting today.

I've got to think playing and ADC or any ranged champ would be easier. You can keep your mouse hovered over the target while walking away from them. Much easier than clicking on target, moving mouse behind you and clicking to move backwards, to move the mouse again to click on them. And worst of all, misclicking them and walking right into their attacks.

Haven't played in years. Still don't think I'm interested. But I do approve of this move.

So the new place I'm working at is riddled with nerds. There's talk of playing this fucking game. . .

Let me know if you want a heads up if we are playing. We aren't building a team with regular play time, etc. Just going to be playing.

We have two people that played on scholarship. One was on a team that Riot flew in to play in a tournament and they trained with CLG back in the day. They both have dropped in rankings because they stopped playing professionally. But, they are still going to be good.

Oh you know i'd be down. i've played about 10 ranked games this season and want to be playing more but my time is being split up between 3 games at the moment. Diablo 2, League and PGA 2k25.

I really like the new season, games are fast and supports are strong. My only request is that i'd play support, i can't really play jungle or top anymore, at least not at the same level as my support play.

I'll be honest, it's tempting to think about playing again.

However, I'm too old and it's been too long. The meta has probably changed 60 times since I last had the game installed. My reflexes aren't the same. I wouldn't know the champions. I hate playing with strangers (our Stranger being the exception). And people would get mad at Teemo top

Honestly, the biggest adjustment for you would be knowing what all the new champs do. There have been significant changes to alot of items so that would be confusing but the game has implemented suggested items to build and if you follow those you're going to be fine.

Meta is meta, its always changing but the game is still the same. Probably the best thing is you can pretty much play any champ in any lane now. Its not unusual to see something like Swain bot with a Pantheon support, something that you would never see before. Hell, i had a ranked game with a Braum playing mid! its wild.

But if you were to get your feet wet again you can just do ARAM games, its still the mode i play the most of at this point. No stress of pissing off others and you can practice all sorts of champs.

BTW, everybody hates Teemo!

Also, you should get PGA 2k25 and play with me, Scott and TJ, its a blast.

It's league. There will ALWAYS be someone that's pissed about something!

Even though we have two good players, the others are still bronze. So meta doesn't matter. Hell, even in ranked games I'd play Veiger top and piss people off. But you'll never piss off your teammates. Play what you like.

I'll keep you guys posted. Again, we aren't trying to go pro. Just want to play with a pre-made team.

I promise I'll download it and do an ARAM game to test the WASD controls and then we'll see. Don't hold your breath.

i tried the WASD controls a few games in ARAM and didnt like it. But i've only played the other way for over a decade. The biggest problem for me wasn't the movement but hitting the skill buttons that have to change because you're using your left hand to move.

May be different for you because you haven't played in so long.

Chalked up some wins last night with Stranger. I went 0-5 until he showed up. Even at 0-5, it placed me Bronze 3? I expected to be deep in iron territory. Which I would have liked because it would have been a bunch of good warm up games. But once Stranger showed up, the wins started piling up. We even had a salty Teemo top on our team once. I've seen better though. Maybe will again.

I did not try awsd. They changed some of my items. Nurfed my lichbane hard. I was having trouble casting my ult. Almost as if it's range is shorter. But over all, it's coming back.

There's talk of people getting in game this weekend. So be on discord and get the game loaded if you haven't yet!
