Saw it on a 3D XD screen (bigger screen, bigger seats, better sound) with my whole family. Everyone loved it.
Are there plot holes? Of course.
Are there some hokey elements? Of course.
At the end of the day, it was entertaining and fun. People who couldn't enjoy this movie should just quit going to movies because they're missing the point. at the very least they should pull the stick out of their ass.
But hey, go in thinking you'll hate it...it'll probably help you escape the "disappointment of hype".

Really liked it. Same old story but that was ok, and man, Pratt has come a long fucking way.
e: it helps that every character in this movie, even the dinos, treat this guy like he's indiana jones reborn as jesus

Cool story bro time:
About a month ago I bought the blurays of 1-3, individually, at Walmart, and each one had a "$7.50 off your purchase of a ticket to Jurassic World." I paid $9.44 each for the BDs.
Last night I went on Fandango.com to use my discounts. You create an account, then enter the codes for the discount, up to 10 of them. Then you select your theater and showtime, and go to check out.... and it wasn't applying the discount.
After a few minutes of futzing with it I realized I had to enter the codes AGAIN at checkout time. It's like for some reason they were trying to make it kinda hard for people to enter the discount codes. Weird.
So, depending on your look look at it, I paid $30 for the trilogy on BD and got 3 movie tickets for $9, or I paid $8 for the trilogy and am going to watch the movie, as planned.
As I said, cool story, bro.

Movie is awesome. Chris Pratt is the first real male superstar since Harrison Ford and Mel Gibson, except for maybe Hugh Jackman.

Director on the I-Rex:
Director Colin Trevorrow has stated that the Indominus rex, the synthetic hybrid dinosaur at the center of the film's story, is symbolic of consumer and corporate excess. Trevorrow stated that the dinosaur was "meant to embody [humanity's] worst tendencies. We're surrounded by wonder and yet we want more, and we want it bigger, faster, louder, better. And in the world of the movie, the animal is designed based on a series of corporate focus groups."

I have no problem with that line of thought, and it gets explained in the movie very bluntly.
There's a moment where a character says people look at dinosaurs now like elephants in a zoo, and I thought, "I can see that happening."

Not in 20 years or whatever, though.
I'll still go the GA Aquarium once a year, just to look and whales and otters. Even though I've seen them plenty of times, I still think they are rad.
E: but I do get the concept - it's just exaggerated, movie-like

I keep meaning to get down there to see the whale shark.

I get what he's saying, but I have no idea how that's humanity's worst tendency. To make things better? To improve? To push boundaries? To investigate what's possible? Is BAD?
Insanity.

I finally saw it yesterday. I was really impressed.
I liked Chris Pratt's lever-action rifle (Marlin .45?). It's magic, as he can fire it repeatedly without chambering new rounds.
He did have to load it, so the magic is lacking in some aspects.

I'm always just impressed when they have to reload without it being a plot device. One of the reasons I loved Equilibrium (aside form over the top kick ass fight scenes) was how Bale not only had to reload his guns, but planned ahead for having to reload his guns.

John Wick. He is shooting a guy, is empty, and reloads real quick to finish his last half of the double-tap.

I forgot about that scene. Probably another of the reasons I liked that one.
