I knew what was supposed to happen, I just never know when they are going to decide to take a left turn from the comic so there is still tension.

Future character in the TV series (and popular sword-wielding character in the comic) will have their origin revealed in a six-page story in the next issue of Playboy.
Spoilerish I guess.

Welp, there's katana chick and the prison.

That was a great episode EXCEPT for Laurie and Rick's speech.

It is no longer a democracy.

It's a Ricktatorship.

I have to stop reading this thread. There have been two spoilers so far. Some of us haven't read the comics and don't know what's coming.

What spoilers?

I typically do my best to avoid spoilers, but I also tend to avoid threads if I know there may be spoilers lurking. Hitting this thread before watching the season finale...probably was unwise.

Welp, there's katana chick and the prison.

I, literally, jumped up when she showed up. She looked exactly like she did when she debuted in the book.

Cannot wait for season 3...

I didn't even start reading this thread until I got caught up. I had 4 episodes DVRd before I even started watching the season.

I'm talking about the prison. They showed it, and I wondered "I wonder if they will find it. . .". Reading this, according to the comic, they do. Well, now I know. The other one was when someone posted that one of them didn't renew their contract, meaning, they were going to die.

You would have to be a real piece of Samsonite to not know that they were going to head there next season. No offense, but that was pretty obvious after Rick gives a big speech about finding a home and being safe, then the show closes with a shot of the prison.

The other one was when someone posted that one of them didn't renew their contract, meaning, they were going to die.

Well that's just dumb. Robert Kirkman, who created The Walking Dead has given interviews telling folks to expect a lot of blood in the final episodes. We've talked a lot about how he doesn't consider any character sacred, and I've even mentioned that he honestly toyed with the idea of killing them all. People die on this show. Don't get used to any character.

And nobody ever listed who was actually going to die...did they?

Since Shane should have been dead by Carl's hand before they even left Atlanta, Dale should still be alive (ditto for Otis, Patricia...I think, and Sophia) , others (T-Dog Darrell, and Merle) don't even exist in the books, and other characters are simply missing (the twins), I'd say you're pretty safe from our spoilers.

I could post the number of characters on the show that are still alive in the books, and it'd mean nothing in terms of spoilers.

Again, just remember, unlike any other TV show you've ever watched, NOBODY is safe. Nobody.

I thought the reveal of the prison made it pretty obvious they would be heading there.

Ditto.

When I took a script course in college there was some saying that went something like, "If you show a gun in scene one you need to use it by scene three."

It basically meant that if you show it and don't use it you wasted the audience's time and disappointed them.

Whether it be walkers in the barn or a zombie mob approaching the farm, if the writers show it at the end of one episode it's a major theme in the next.

You mean Chekhov's gun. For the record.

And I didn't even have to go to some fancy pants script course to know that. :p

Do NOT click any links or read any stories online about The Walking Dead until Season 2 is over. (3 episodes left!!!)

Someone at AMC is getting fired because their ads for the Season 2 DVD sets reveal a HUGE spoiler.

If you've read the books, you know the spoiler, but obviously don't post it here.
What was the spoiler that someone is going to get fired over? I managed to avoid it.

If you don't want to know, *cough*Cakedaddy*cough*, go to another thread now.

Read the next bit backwards, htaed s'enahs, and they actually had that on box covers and in the commercials for the season 2 DVDs. Some people don't think.

Ahhhhh.

Well, I read beyond that point in the comics.... to be honest I figured they would deviate from the comic (again) since that character seemed to be such a big part of the show.
