He and his wife got a few episodes into season 2, and are getting bored with it.

Oh just skip to the end of the season and pretend the middle part before they opened the barn didn't happen.

No I meant the second season of Thrones.

We should probably take that conversation out of this thread.

For the first time in years I am actually all caught up with The Walking Dead.

Michon shouldn't have done that.

And I'm not for once. Asshole, with your spoiler!

jk, I know what she does. Haven't seen the episode though. I'll watch it before sitting down to watch the finale Monday night (DVR).

I will say that they've moved very much in line with the books now. Still tons of characters and situations not in the books, but the overall story is on pace.

ALL OF SEASON 5 SPOILERS AHEAD

I get irritated with shows like Burn Notice and Dexter that have the exact same arc every season, but this show has surprised me. Season 1 was them saying WTF HAPPENED TO THE WORLD. S2, Herschel's farm... there was a season at the jail.... and finally the group turned a corner when Rick, in a hopeless situation, told them, "They're going to feel awful foolish when they realize they're fucking with the wrong people." They're done being victims, and the show changed and became fresh again. It's a whole new ballgame. Then they had their "40 days in the desert" with no food and a drought, and now they are in the promised land. It's theirs to lose. They even had their Judas. Good stuff coming.

They almost lost me in S2, but I am back and fully on board, now.

We know Carol turned a corner at some point and stopped being a battered wife and started being a lone wolf badass, but when did she become the game master? She immediately put on the Martha Stewart face when they hit that town. Telling Rick, "Not yet" when Porchdick shows up at the meeting: She knew he would show his true colors in front of the town, THEN Rick could become the iron fist to leader chick's limp wrist. She called that play and it seemed to work.

Also, did we ever find out for sure who took Rick's stashed 9mm?

Hmmm, I quit this show right after they ran scampering from some people that wanted to cut their throats. Did I quit right before it got good again?

In Terminus?

Or something earlier? What season?

Oh, um, they went down some train tracks to some place and a season ended. Next season started with running away like rabbits from some throat cutters and I was too meh to keep going.

I guess it was the first ep of this last season.

I think you quit about 5 seconds before they decided to stop being rabbits. They left Terminus mainly because it was overrun with walkers.

Actually, 5 seconds after. They took out Terminus while badly outnumbered, outgunned, and in a vulnerable position. The thing is, the bad guys had an army, but the good guys had a Carol.

I seem to have a history of doing that with this show. I quit season two right before things got interesting at the farm. I quit season three right before things got interesting at the prison. I quite season four right before the Governor returned.

I should quit quitting, but they keep taking just a little too long being not good enough.

There's some fucked up, badass, and gruesome shit that happens in this season. Sometimes at the same time. But not always.
