i think ive got the worker stuff finally figured out. Got a T3, T4 and T5 Gamerkeeper workers now on my island.
While skinning is better in the Bridgewatch and Lymhurst biomes, i take all the hides to Marlock to refine for that juicy bonus. But watch out for the prices people are charging, some may be as high as 9,999 silver per 100 hunger used. Not sure how that hunger usage is calculated but always look for the cheapest prices stations.

How much do the mercs bring home each day?
At my level, about 150 silver each! At T5, they are about 2k each. EVERYONE says "Don't bother with merc". They are by far the easiest, but there's not a lot of money. The journals fill up quick doing dungeons. I will be switching to something else. Not sure what though. I 'think' gathering is the most money, but super slow journal filling. Crafting might be ok too, but there's so much up front investment training crafting skills. Even the empty to full journals on the market are about 1k different in price on the market. Everyone says that merc's are way over due for a revamp. As in, they are the same now as they were when they were released. All of the others have gotten buffs. Many people are training merc laborers up to level 7, pulling them and starting over creating a hoard of T7 laborers to sell when they finally get around to updating them. Many people say it will never happen. It's been years. . .
I'm leaning towards lumber given where we are and stranger is doing hides. Get that special wood while out dungeoning. Ya, I said that.
Awesome. My wife was just looking for one. Be aware, if you had a stone mason in Bridgewater area, you'd get 40% more materials. I tested with the weaver on the guild island. Started with 100 flax, finished with 140 cloth.
Gearing up to transport all my wood to Fort Sterling area for processing. My ox was nowhere near capable of carrying it all. Bought a T7 Ox that was just a bit too weak. Then I remembered I had a Lumberjack's backpack. Lowers weight of all wood T5 and below by 30%. Now I'm at 76%.
I just built a meal place too. So I've got farms (Cabbage, carrots, beans(?) for now, stone cutter, and meal shop. then some (worthless?) stone workers + fish workers.
I had a few thousand boards of various levels. Now, if I haul them all the way to the south, I can sell for about another 100k. There's a lot of wood in Fort Sterling.

Bah, stupid server's been down all morning. Wanted to send my workers out first thing.
This is a complex task that involves both servers, so it will take some time to complete.
Therefore, the maintenance will start at 10:00 UTC and is expected to last for at least 6 hours , but could potentially go longer.
Please keep an eye on the announcements to stay informed.
