I think that clip stands on its own. Can a white host have that conversation with a white guest, but about black people? It'd be a top story on every news site in the country. The guest's career would be ruined, their would be a national boycott on the show/brand, and the host would be in jeopardy and on a public apology tour. This is as openly racist as it gets and they sit there laughing about it.

On top of that, these are the people (almost the entirety of Disney SW from Kathleen Kennedy on down) who have run a very public campaign of calling their core SW fans bigots, sexists, and racists for not accepting their shitting all over established lore and characters and replacing them with terrible characters, LGBQTIA2+, and bad stories.

Finn was given nothing to do. The pilot...I forget his name...was constantly bossed around by women throughout the trilogy. Kylo Wren was just an angst ridden teen whose long term story was never in doubt, and Adam Driver HATED it and said it was not what he signed up for. Rey was the ultimate Mary Sue. (Google it if you don't know what that means.) Meanwhile, they destroyed every male character from the original movies. Even far, far, far left Mark Hamill was blatantly warning people that he wasn't happy with what they did to Luke and even tweeted that everything in the new trilogy that Luke did was basically the opposite of what the character Lucas created would do.

It is the typical Hollywood disrespect for existing IPs, but amplified to an existing massive franchise, arguably "The" franchise, and combined with them spewing unbridled hatred and "we're better than you" attitudes all over the fan base.

I think it's been covered a million different places just how bad a job they've done and where it's problematic for a myriad number of reasons. So maybe you just want to know about this show so far:
-Several of the writers, producers, and actors have stated publicly that they don't know the source material and don't care because they aren't respecting it anyway.
-Carrie Anne-Moss, the biggest name on the show, and the only whitey in the main cast is killed off in the first 5 minutes of episode 1. She's dead before the opening credits.
-The only white male with dialogue is a prisoner in Ep 1.
-The previously posted open flame in space... Just pointing this out to showcase the vast intelligence working on the show.
-The lesbian director cast her wife, who can't act at all, as Jedi Master Vernestra. FYI, Yoda would be alive and well during this time frame.
-"The gayest SW show yet" proclaimed the star and director. Because that's what people care about.
-Ep 3, which I haven't seen, is supposed to destroy the entire SW canon to its core. I've heard pronouns get used starting in that episode, but beyond that the rumor is they're turning the Force female. Not Kathleen Kennedy's shirt slogan, but "THE FORCE" they're making into an entity and making it female.

Fun Fact: To date Disney has yet to even make back the $4B they spent to buy Lucasfilm.

The public consensus has been that they're producing agenda driven garbage. The public has rejected shit with woke agendas at almost every turn. Seriously, go find a woke driven show or movie that made a profit. It's hard to do.

Meanwhile, Disney+ has done nothing but lose money and hemorrhage subscribers.

Strictly from your view as a stock market savvy Capitalist, how does Bob Iger still have a job? Disney's stock has dropped over 50% since he came back and every single project is a massive failure. How is he still there?

BTW, white big name actress Jedi killed by a small 3" blade. Minority actress stabbed through the torso with lightsaber and easily makes a full recovery.

Reminds me of the first Scream remake when only white people died. This is despite a minority character getting stabbed and sliced multiple times and losing consciousness, yet somehow walking around under their own power later.

I don't know. On the one hand, he did really well leading Disney until his first retirement. OTOH, the problems started under his watch. Disney is big and complicated, and the board probably felt safest going with someone who already knew the company. And, it is big and complicated, so they're willing to give him 3-4 years to try whatever he's going to try, as long as he has A Plan.

The problem is he doesn't have a plan. He clearly leaned really hard into ESG and the lie that audiences wanted woke content. He's trying to backtrack now as rumors say Disney has cancelled a whole host of woke projects, particularly within Marvel. We shall see, but it seems like even his backtracking is half assed. The guy they cast for the Blade remake has left the project because it's been haunted by woke horseshit. For example: Blade is the protagonist, but the original script saw him playing 4th fiddle to three strong female characters. Blade wasn't even the focus of his own fucking movie. They're simply losing money hand over fist throughout their entire entertainment portfolio and allowing the inmates to not only run the asylum, but openly insult the targeted demographic before projects are even released.

I barely ever heard anything about transpeople growing up and there was never any violent talk. I heard more gay and racist stuff, but really just jokes, nothing ever violent.
