It makes me a little irritated where their priorities are.
Will not bother, even for free.

OK, so you have read the book and seen the movie that she was talking about, elaborate.
This specific show or Disney SW as a whole?
The Hate U Give. Since that's what she was referring to and the interview (from 2018) was about.
Honestly, who gives a fuck?
People who like context for comments?
Star Wars series creator brags about new Disney+ series ‘The Acolyte’ being the “gayest Star Wars” ever.
Leslye Headland, the creator and showrunner, of the series has declared C-3PO is ‘gay’ and R2-D2 is a ‘lesbian.’
“And are you telling me with a straight face that C-3P0 is straight? I think it’s canon that R2-D2 is a lesbian."
Headland, who identifies herself as LGBTQI+ has promised to promote LGBT identities in the new series.
Ah right, dude has 1 black parent so he's automatically black. Racist.Leisher wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2024 4:18 pm Because "White people crying was the goal" and then two black people laughing about it has a legit and non-racist context?
Going back to this, seriously Catt, htf does he still have a job?Leisher wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:04 pm Strictly from your view as a stock market savvy Capitalist, how does Bob Iger still have a job? Disney's stock has dropped over 50% since he came back and every single project is a massive failure. How is he still there?
I honestly could forgive bad product. I'd have hope that they'll turn it around.
I don't know. On the one hand, he did really well leading Disney until his first retirement. OTOH, the problems started under his watch. Disney is big and complicated, and the board probably felt safest going with someone who already knew the company. And, it is big and complicated, so they're willing to give him 3-4 years to try whatever he's going to try, as long as he has A Plan.Leisher wrote: Fri Jun 07, 2024 9:16 am Going back to this, seriously Catt, htf does he still have a job?

The problem is he doesn't have a plan. He clearly leaned really hard into ESG and the lie that audiences wanted woke content. He's trying to backtrack now as rumors say Disney has cancelled a whole host of woke projects, particularly within Marvel. We shall see, but it seems like even his backtracking is half assed. The guy they cast for the Blade remake has left the project because it's been haunted by woke horseshit. For example: Blade is the protagonist, but the original script saw him playing 4th fiddle to three strong female characters. Blade wasn't even the focus of his own fucking movie. They're simply losing money hand over fist throughout their entire entertainment portfolio and allowing the inmates to not only run the asylum, but openly insult the targeted demographic before projects are even released.TheCatt wrote: Fri Jun 07, 2024 9:37 am I don't know. Really?
I guess I should have put it in quotes. He says he has "a plan" and the board believes it...
Drag is the closest I can think of as a kid. I guess I was only thinking of boys, not girls. So... 40%? But yeah, calling some a fag or a homo was like the biggest insult on earth. death to fags, kill the fags, etc.Leisher wrote: Fri Jun 07, 2024 10:06 am barely ever heard anything about transpeople growing up and there was never any violent talk. I heard more gay and racist stuff, but really just jokes, nothing ever violent.
