Terminator: Salvation - Former title: "New Terminator trilogy"

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Interesting. I like that the original owners have given it up. It should give a fresh take on the series. What worries me is that they are looking for a cash cow. So instead of focusing on the story, they might focus on effects and/or big names.

This feels ominous. I sense vast suckage.

Terminator IV: The Quickening

I guarantee it will suck, and I guarantee I'll see it despite the suckage.

I had to buy Blazing Saddles. With political correctness the way it is today, I may get fired for owning it.

Saw the trailer for the next flick, "Terminator: Salvation," before Batman.

Looks good so far... different tone than the previous movies, from what I saw. There was a shot of dead paratroopers hanging in a tree in the desert, for example.

Wonder if I can find a trailer online....

Yep.

Twas a powerline tower, not a tree.

Saw on TV last night this flick is PG-13.

My expectations for it just went into the shitter.

I've thought the same thing on at least two or three previews I've seen on TV.

There's some new flick out ...

"Drag Me to Hell" ... rated PG-13.

Come the fuck on.

I heard there are 40 minutes that got cut to make it PG-13.

Probably didn't hurt the narrative at all to lose 25% of the film.

Now I wish I wasn't already committed to seeing it this weekend.

I saw an interview with the director and he said he cut one seen out that made it go from R to PG 13. Didn't say how long the scene was though.

My cousin saw it Monday night and raved about it. He said it blows Star Trek away. He said it's wall to wall action.

(I should also note that he more of a horror fan than Sci-Fi.)

On the other side of the coin, MSN's reviewer said that the film is "barely saved" by the acting.

I find it HIGHLY unlikely that I'll like it as much as Star Trek, but I believe the action will entertain me, even if the story doesn't.

I'll probably enjoy it more than Star Trek. I'm not expecting anything other than a cool action flick. No deeper meaning. The further I get away from having seen Star Trek the less impressed I am.
