Mercy (2026)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Mercy (2026)

Post by Leisher »

Chris Pratt is a cop in a near future LA where a court called Mercy enacts super fast trials thanks to AI. If you're sent to this court, you're probably guilty, and assumed so by law (reality is out the window). Being found guilty means instant death. However, the AI gives you access to everything, and that means EVERYTHING, to prove your innocence.

Pratt wakes up from a bender in the chair and on trial.

Rebecca Ferguson plays the AI judge, and does a pretty piss poor job. Apologies to her, but she was clearly cast to be stoic, which would suggest AI. However, she constantly smirks, and it's very distracting.

This movie feels like it was filmed during Covid or something, and also seems very low budget.

It's utter garbage. Bad story, bad acting, bad direction, etc.
“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell
