That right there is everything wrong with Hollywood. They make a movie about an established property and change everything so it has very little in common with the established property, alienate any fans the established property has, make it for peanuts (A $5 million dollar movie? Kevin Smith films cost more!), and then don't promote it. So, of course, when it fails they blame the property, not their own ignorant decisions.
But it's safe to say that the "Jem and the Holograms" franchise has flatlined.
