Pirates 4: On Stranger Tides

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

While at the Disney 23 Expo this afternoon, Johnny Depp came on the main stage (in full Jack Sparrow duds) to announce that the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean adventure will sail into theaters in the summer of 2011.

The first was entertaining. The second was kinda entertaining. The third was just... wtf?

I liked the third more than the second. But not by much.

Ok, Ian Mcshane is pretty cool... but does anyone else find this trailer really lackluster?

Doesn't it seem like Penelope Cruz has been around forever? Why isn't she a bigger name as she randomly gets big roles like this one?

She still has the Tom Cruise stank on her.

Seemed kind of "meh" to me. Don't we have enough of these already? It's been a good series, don't mess it up.

On the other hand I do still trust Johnny Depp not to make a bad movie ... so far.

Yeah, "meh." Motivations of Blackbeard did not seem to be consistent.

It was better than I expected it to be, but still nowhere near the first movie.

I consider the first three to be a lot like The Matrix. The first was amazing and out of nowhere, then it went downhill with two terrible sequels that you wanted to love, but couldn't.

This fourth film isn't as bad as two or three. Depp is still the best thing in the movie, but everyone else does a good job too. The plot is just above meh.

First Matrix wasn't that good overall, just good compared to the rest.
