First off, they alway over predict. If you get even 6 inches, I'll give you a dollar. Plus, even if you get the full 14 inches, at least there's no danger of it destroying your house. You know, like a hurricane could.

Neat cheerleader.

"will become a blizzard for interior New England tonight and tomorrow"

So I think you're pretty safe.

For some reason I feel much better about the winter storm warning. :D

All the hurricanes I ever saw were just 3 days of wind and rain, and I saw 2-3 a year for the last 3 years. You could go outside and live in it, damply.

They overestimate the weather here with every single forecast. Toledo is in a depression. Snow typically has a hard time really hitting us. The blizzard in 78 actually came from the east. The weather was going around us, hitting over lake Erie, and then coming back east to dump snow on us.

We'll be lucky to get 3 inches total. We're already past the point when we were supposed to have 4-8 on the ground.

The new forecast here:
All this moisture coming up out of the Gulf... will push off to the east and hit Altoona.

Hate to "rain" on you guys parade but I think it is coming. Look at the radar. Indianapolis already got 12 inches. I am actually leaving the office early. Stay tuned for work call offs for tomorrow.

Hah...looks like the line between rain and snow is following the border between the CSA and The North.

Suck it, Yankees!

I'd take snow over rain, any day. So, I'm not sucking anything. Enjoy your sloppy muddy rain mess you are getting down there.

One thing's for sure: nothing short of a 4-wheel-drive is getting in or out of my driveway until I get the snow blower out, tomorrow.

Drifting.

I'm getting a little concerned about the size of the drift threatening to bury the family truckster.
