Microsoft, which has struggled in the Internet space, bid $47.5 billion to buy Yahoo Inc. three years ago but withdrew the offer after Yahoo balked. Yahoo is now worth about half of what Microsoft offered.
I'll bet Yahoo's stockholders are thrilled about that tidbit.
