I did my taxes already, preliminarily (most paperwork doesnt arrive until end of Jan or Feb).
Thanks to the state of NC's rules that your first 50k of self-employment income is tax exempt, we're getting a big fat refund. (I own my own consulting company in addition to my dayjob).
I'm not sure why NC passed this tax exemption (I guess I'm a job creator?) but I'll sure take it. Better $3,750 in my hands than in theirs.
