So... guy confronts crazy dude in subway, gets pushed in front of a train, gets crushed trying to climb out.

Would he have been better off just running away from the train, staying on the track? As I understand it, he got crushed cuz he was between the wall and the train.

If he'd been running away, he at least would have diminished the speed difference. I guess he still would have had to try and not get taken under the subway.

Hmmm

This subway culture of ours is killing too many people. They ought to be banned or slowed down to speeds that the average retiree can outpace on foot.

You hear that Costas, you fuckwit?

I grew up next to train tracks. and many, many times stood right next to one.... or directly under one as it went over the bridge on the creek.... and I always wondered what it would be like to lay between the tracks as one went over. There is plenty of clearance for a regular sized person.

So that would be my immediate instinct in that situation.

I do remember a while back, there was a guy down on the subway track, and another dude jumped down there to save them, and they lay down between the rails and the train went over them, safely.

I'd still probably try to jump out, myself.

Actually, it was a person that killed the person, so let's get rid of all the people.

Amen. Everyone else goes first.
