This year is the 400th anniversary of the publication of the King James Bible.

I grew up Southern Baptist, and of course we all knew that Jesus spoke like Shakespeare; there WAS no other Bible. Nowadays, I'm not particularly religious, but I find the modern translations that are used in the various services I've been to lately to be...lame. They sound like liberal-speak, if that makes sense.

It's a free online site that has a lot of translations, but it will also show your the original Greek and Aramaic and you can look up the meaning of individual word and where else they were used.
