One of my FB friends is advertising her ice-cream as "ethical."

Are you suggesting that her ice cream does not have a strong code of ethics? Beware you don't insult it for this assault on its integrity.

Well, she IS British, so maybe it means something different over there.

The implication is that other ice creams are unethical? Because ... um ... no, I'm confused. Ask her why other ice creams are unethical and let us know what she says.

Maybe she uses human breast milk? That way you could get informed consent from the entity providing the basic substance, which would in theory be more ethical. Not that I consider milking cows to be unethical, but ethicality isn't a binary proposition.

No, milking cows is akin to rape. Mother earth screams.
