We have a tube that goes from mouth to asshole. We put food in at one end, and shit comes out the other side that the tube can't use. In between we masticate to increase surface area, dissolve it in acid to separate out nutrients, and then lots of long tube that absorbs those nutrients through membranes that enter our bloodstreams.

These things are what worms do.

What we do different is pack on extra meat around our worms and specialized spots to further manipulate the nutrients extracted from the worm to further improve the functioning of the meat, so the worm can be fed in a more convenient manner. Our worm is making a nice shell for itself.

At some point our worm meat made a cluster of nerve cells and ganglia to make it even easier to get food for the worm to make meat, and also propagate into more worms with the idea that if we have more worms just like us it will keep other worms from destroying us and eliminating our worm's ability to support our meat and make more meat.

But really we're not much different from Planaria, philosophically. Just Planaria in a really cool meat mech.

So, what strain of weed generated this idea?

Honestly, I think you can compare most things if you break them down to basic levels.

Call me when worms send one of their own to the moon.

They did. Armstrong had a worm in a meat suit inside a space suit.

The worm rode along, they did not send their own.
