From the Wright Brothers' flight at Kitty Hawk (1903) to Yuri Gagarin the First Man in Space (1961) was a bit less than 58 years.
Gagarin's flight was a bit over 59 years ago.
Was there ever any Age like the 20th Century? True, the bad was INCREDIBLY bad: the slaughter of two world wars and the threat of nuclear annihilation. But to go from a steam-powered world to landing on the moon in a human lifespan...who would have believed it possible?
