My tendency to skim when I read screwed me over this morning. Took the kid to the doctor for his 15yo checkup/shots, and I was two months early. Ex made the appt, and sent me a message, and I totally skimmed over the "month" part of the message, and just read the day.

Geez I totally took a shower for nothing.

Guess I better slow down.
