Just FYI, the screen shots look really, really good. Battles look crisp and a lot cleaner.

I read they are "simplifying" things. They think resource management is too time consuming, among other things. That is not a good sign.

All the FPSs are going that route. C&C 3 or 4, whatever they're on, will have limited resources to manage too. Also, if you lose in multiplayer, you and our base just reappear elsewhere on the map.

WTF?

It looks to me like Chris Taylor is upholding his tradition of making a game that requires hardware that doesn't exist yet. Which is fine. I'm definately going to wait to buy it though. Then I'll save a ton of money on the game, get all the expansions, and will have the PC to run it.

The demo is out on Steam.

Also, Steam is accepting pre-orders and giving 10% off.

Early buzz is NOT good.

Someone on Amazon called it "Lego Supreme Commander". Ouch.

I downloaded the demo and played a bit. But not enough to form an opinion. So far, it's been lag free. But, I'm playing a campaign and unit options are very limited, so, battles are very small.

Not sure the the different stuff I'm seeing in the campaign apply to multi play either. Like the extra points I can spend to upgrade units and stuff. Interesting twist on things. . . but not sure how it will translate to multi.

other than that, not much different than the first SupCom. But again, I've only barely touched it.
