If there really is a giant parasitic community like that out there, by all means get them out. But I am unclear how you fine tooth comb through ...(using the internet number)… 12 million illegals without decimating the road crews, landscaping teams, construction industry, kitchens, agricultural etc. There are so many more I am missing. Oh, gotta say private child care.

Well, they bankrupted FEMA.

Remember, migrant workers are not the issue.
This new influx of "asylum seekers" didn't just cross the border and pick up shovels. Why would they work when they're being handed food, housing, cell phones, and spending cash for free?

I'm struggling to find the data of what and where these people the next admin says they are going to deport are.
This was useful though.
https://wwwp.ewresearch.org/short-reads ... in-the-us/
I had not seen a more recent figure.

I suspect CA, NY, NJ, IL will protect their illegal immigrant populations as much as their "state's right's" will allow.
TX, FL, OH, GA/SC/NC/OH would maybe get to work fast.
I still struggle with the actual reality of this, I've met a my fair share of illegal immigrants, who are more like... long term migrants, who are just hard ass workers. No way CA lets these type of ppl go without a significant fight. It would hamper our economy, and therefore the US economy as a whole.

I asked the same question when the Biden administration said they were going to do just that. They were going to do it any day now.
So they'll probably do whatever Biden was going to do.

New Republic: Trump won because his voters are delusional, it's the fault of right wing media, and the only people who can save us are rich liberals.
https://newrepublic.com/post/188197/tru ... dscape-fox
...
But this line of analysis requires that we ask one more question. And it’s the crucial one: Why didn’t a majority of voters see these things? And understanding the answer to that question is how we start to dig out of this tragic mess.
The answer is the right-wing media. Today, the right-wing media—Fox News (and the entire News Corp.), Newsmax, One America News Network, the Sinclair network of radio and TV stations and newspapers, iHeart Media (formerly Clear Channel), the Bott Radio Network (Christian radio), Elon Musk’s X, the huge podcasts like Joe Rogan’s, and much more—sets the news agenda in this country. And they fed their audiences a diet of slanted and distorted information that made it possible for Trump to win.
...
If you read me regularly, you know that I’ve written this before, but I’m going to keep writing it until people—specifically, rich liberals, who are the only people in the world who have the power to do something about this state of affairs—take some action.
Save us, rich liberals, save us.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which President-elect Trump put Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy in charge of, announced on Thursday that it is opening up hiring to interested candidates.
"We are very grateful to the thousands of Americans who have expressed interest in helping us at DOGE. We don't need more part-time idea generators. We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting," DOGE wrote.
"If that's you, DM this account with your CV. Elon & Vivek will review the top 1% of applicants."
In response to an X user who observed the "unbridled enthusiasm of wanting to be part of something of profound historical significance" that will require a "monumental amount of tedious super-high quality work," Musk noted that DOGE workers won't be paid for their efforts to cut spending and streamline government.
Musk remarked, "Indeed, this will be tedious work, make lots of enemies & compensation is zero. What a great deal!"
I'm out.

Already discussed and yes, although I don't think it's "his" coin? The name is an excellent troll job.
However, no compensation for 80+ hours a week? Hard pass.

Would pay for a video of the facial reaction if he was actually explained all of this.

Ellen and Portia move to the UK because of Trump's win.
Did she claim this would be a result before the election? If so, I respect standing by your word. As we've seen, many celebrities do not.
Although, one wonders if there are other reasons. Ellen's very tarnished star and diminished popularity based upon her being an abusive monster on set is one. Combine that with the dying worship of Hollywood, Diddy being on her show a lot, etc. and it's not hard to imagine Trump winning might not be her sole reason.
How bad have things gotten for Ellen?
Slate bashes her recent special and does so by going after her as a person. Ouch.
I wonder if she'll go full out and renounce her citizenship? If she doesn't, even living abroad, she's really just showcasing that she's a crybaby with enough money to throw a tantrum.
