Don't be surprised if there are problems. It's patch day.
Seems like every online game seems to usually have issues on patch day.

I did not test drive my urbanmach yet. Waiting for better builds to show up. However, the queues were all fucked up, and I think it's because there were sooooo many in game that it threw the light numbers off.
Gordon had a solid night winning our first game as our sole surviving member and doing well most of the night. That first game he got the brilliant idea of maneuvering right slightly to force a far away opponent farther out from cover to give his missiles time to reach him. Look at the big brain on Gordo!
I started off terrible in my Jenner and then my Centurion twice. Died first in each of those games. Got fed up with coward teammates and pulled out my Cataphract 4X. I made many fools pity themselves.
Had a nice 4-6 kill game on Caustic Valley where I was the heaviest mech on the team (no assaults) and it was pointed out in chat. Lights and mediums backed me up and as a unit we were dropping the baddies who seemed less organized, but they had two missile boats. Eventually, they somehow targeted me after I had already dropped 2-3 fools and it was raining missiles from just over the next hill, but I couldn't see, was taking heavy damage, and had someone else machine gunning me. I was done for...but all my little friends stuck around to support. They ganged up on the guy MGing me and they must have legged him because I was able to pull away during my charge to the hill. Meanwhile, the missiles stopped raining in and it was apparently due to some fire from above forcing them to move, and from their left flank (one light). So when I hit the top of the hill, I had all three cores exposed and damaged (two in red) and an arm and a leg exposed, yet I was able to immediately direct my quad AC5s at one Catapault and then the other bringing them a swift death. It was glorious!

The new phrase for being the first one on your team to get killed is now called, "Getting Leishered."
That match he spoke of where I did a slight maneuver... for the last 5 minutes of the game it was just him and me, and him mostly hiding. I was a missile assault so I didn't really want to close on him and be too close for missiles, so I was kind of trying to figure out where he was without getting too close to him. In the last 30 seconds of the game he started taking potshots at me from far away with his large laser. He was ducking behind cover so my LRMs weren't hitting. I moved right a little, forcing him to come out farther to see me, and my LRM's killed him and we won WITH FOUR SECONDS LEFT IN THE GAME. That was the excitingest part.

They've really calmed down the events lately and there's no event this weekend.
Instead, they are already advertising "The Battle of Tukayyid" next weekend.
Clan vs. Inner Sphere on 1 planet.
Requires units so if you want to participate, let me know.

I'll be on to play something tonight. If anyone wants to play this, Rust, LoL, Borderlands, Archeage, Dungeon Defenders... Whatever, i'll be up for anything. Haven't really been gaming much at all lately and wouldn't mind doing something different.

I'm up for the MWO event this weekend in the late evenings.
Payday, Rust, PA, Homeworld are also options.

Tell them to lower the price and I'm in. I just can't pay the same price that console folks paid. I'm not getting a box, manual, disk, etc. they're not paying large licensing fees to make the game for the PC either. Plus, there's no shipping costs.

That just means more of your money is going directly to the developer, which is who deserves it the most anyway.

I've also removed many of the past games we once played but I can always reinstall them. Not sure if uninstalling loses game progress or saved games, I didn't really think about that when I uninstalled.
Personally I didn't care much for Payday but maybe Payday2 would be better.
Is PA Planetary Annihilation? I think you gifted that to me Leisher, am I right?
I don't own Homeworld, and for $35, prolly won't own it for a while.
But if there is another multiplayer game out there that's cheap, I might be willing to buy it and play.

I still do, and I believe Stranger still does. Not as often as we did.
I know they're still planning a Steam release along with a single player mode, and some more multi modes.
I continue to hold out hope that they find more stuff to drive home the "persistent" part.
