Just got my 35th qual 2 minutes after the contest ended.
Which means I didn't get my 35th qual.
Highlight: my LRM stalker vs. enemy LRM stalker. I was out of LRMs, he wasn't. I closed 450m of open water to get close enough for my medium lasers, taking LRM hits the entire time, and killed him, then my War Horn sent him off to hell with a mighty FUCK YOU.

Last night was such a contrast from the weekend's challenge. So much more fun with teams dedicated to teamwork, and funny how easy it was to win at that point.
We grabbed wins in almost every match and got teamed up with two of the bigger clans (-MS- and BEER). I really wish there was a way to figure out your elo.
I blew through most of my mechs last night to get the x2 bonuses. Several of them I only played a single match to get that win for the bonus.
I was about to say that I'd be playing tonight, but I'm not sure. I have a business dinner at 6, and I have no idea how that's going to go (we might be there for 2 hours, maybe all night).
Plus, we might have lost Gordo for the moment...
We grabbed wins in almost every match and got teamed up with two of the bigger clans (-MS- and BEER). I really wish there was a way to figure out your elo.

Win a Clan mech for this weekends event!
Pretty much the same as the last few events, but there is no win condition. Should be pretty easy to earn most of the rewards if you play enough games.

That will be interesting, although I predict even worse team play.
Now you don't need to win, just steal a kill and hope someone else kills one of the other mechs you hit.
Maybe we'll get lucky and folks will relax a bit and play more casually knowing points will come much easier...
Thing is, I don't give a fuck about getting a clan mech. I will definitely play during my three days of premium time though. Nice that they've added a free color and consumables to this challenge.
The consumables are brilliant since they're a resource that people will continue to purchase. Seems like they should offer those up in every challenge.
By the way, guess what title I saw in game this weekend..."Death Star".

There was a bug a few days ago where the game was having trouble getting people into matches and when they did it would immediately disconnect them. If they then rejoined the game they would be the only person in the match and all the other mechs were just standing there for the easy kills. Someone posted a video of this on Reddit and a bunch of people exploited this bug, it only lasted a few hours but it was enough that the "Death Star" achievement is no longer a real achievement.

Got on for a quick match last night, and was looking at my Raven 3L's skills. I noticed I was really close to finishing basic, so I did and bought the 2X and 4X so I can master the chassis.
Found a quick build for the 2X on mechspecs.com and holy shit it's awesome. 3 LL with -30% duration and -12.5% heat.
In 6 matches, I went 4-2 with 10 kills and 2 deaths. In those 6 matches I had a 3 game streak of 100+ points.
I'll be on this weekend for the challenge.
I hope they identify and remove those.
I've noticed a bunch of "Philanthropists" and "Ace of Spades" too.

It has been announced by Russ on twitter that all deathstar achievements, that were earned by shooting disconnects yesterday will be removed next week by a direct entry into the database.
