There was literally a tweet today/yesterday by a player saying "I'm committed to FSU, that doesn't mean I'm shutting down my recruitment"
I'm not going to shut it down," Lopez said to Rivals's Marcus Benjamin. "I'm going to stay in contact with other coaches, so yeah, this isn't me shutting down my recruitment. It's just me committed to a school verbally.

B1G and SEC don't agree yet on playoff expansion, but neither seem concerned.

I prefer the B1G's. We all know who the power conferences are and where the real contenders play. The 5 at large bids is plenty to pick up the others.

11 at large bids reeks of "continue the horseshit campaign about the SEC via ESPN and load up each tournament with SEC teams."

UNC with a recruiting win over OSU! Just like we'll win over them in the playoffs next year, ;)

Will it still count as a win when he commits to somewhere else in the coming months?

Congrats. I don't remember him committing to OSU.

The Bill Belicheck era is definitely going to be interesting.

I hate to admit this, but I'll be rooting for Bama.

Not that I hate trash talk, but I hate ignorant trash talk. I hate it when players give their opponents incentive with dumb statements. You think their team isn't working hard? You think they aren't getting good coaching? And it is absolutely disrespectful. You're implying they aren't working as hard as you or don't care enough or just aren't as good, etc.

I mean, I don't like Bama or FSU, so I'll be rooting for a comet.

Not sure if I posted this previously, I'm digging through some old links while servers are updating...

Remember when TTUN fans rightly mocked some dipshit Ohio politician for introducing a bill to ban flag planting at sports events?

MI politician introduces bill to ban NIL reporting and working with the NCAA during investigations.

In other TTUN cheating related news:
CMU negotiating with the NCAA to resolve their charges due to Stalions.

Texas is the first ever week 1 underdog.

I don't like this. OSU doesn't even have a clear #1 QB yet. Texas didn't need bulletin board material.

11 Warriors article on it.

This is going to be interesting. The entire nation, except TTUN, wants the death penalty. Does the NCAA still have teeth or will the most egregious cheating scandal in history get a slap on the wrist?

I personally would like to see:
-Lifetime bans for Jim Harbaugh and Stalions
-5 yr show causes for the OC and DC, who both had to be involved (and are both gone), and any other coaches who actively tried to destroy evidence, like Moore.
-Forfeiture of all games from 2021 through 2024. This will NOT affect their national title as the NCAA cannot pull that, but will officially taint it forever, not that every fanbase in college football doesn't already consider it a fraud.
-10 scholarships pulled for the next 5 years.
-5 year playoff bowl ban (I don't think current players should be punished, but the program must be. Thus, ban the program from getting into the playoffs, but allow them to go to smaller bowls.)
-All TTUN fans that talked smack about TTUN beating OSU during this time, must publicly apologize and admit they're small minded, little dicked idiots with nothing going on in their lives, and that's why they look past their team blatantly cheating. :D Jokes aside, how are they different from cheaters in online gaming? Same energy. Same justification. Same loser mentality.

It'll probably be:
-2 yr show causes for all involved.
-Forfeits for all games in 21 and 22.
-2 yr bowl ban
-5 scholarships pulled for 2 yrs

The NCAA has to make a statement here or fuck off and die forever. I don't say that because it's TTUN, but because what integrity the sport has left is at stake here. You either are going to tell the world that cheating isn't worth it or everyone should be cheating because there's no penalty.

In a shock to nobody, the NCAA hit TTUN with financially based fines.

The most limp wristed punishment possible.

This is a green light to every university to not only cheat, but feel free to do this EXACT spying program. As long as you have a booster willing to pay the penalty, there will be no punishment.

This is yet another example of how fucked our culture is at this point. There is no integrity. No reward for doing things the right way. Whistleblowers get fired, punished, and murdered. Nobody gives a fuck.

The only cure for humanity is an asteroid that wipes us off the face of the Earth.

Because Michigan didn't get punished enough, the whole planet should be nuked. Check :-)

The punishment is bullshit though. I'm torn. . . of course I'm happy the program isn't being knocked back to the stone ages. But also, I did want to see it hit harder so it never happens again. It's also just bullshit that it's not getting hit harder. While I don't know that I would go as far as Leisher, it certainly should have been much more than it appears to be (I'm getting second hand info).

I'm MOST disappointed that Harbaugh isn't going to jail or something. Fuck him. He was allowed to do this to/at our school, with no ramifications. The school needs to remove anything Harbaugh related from existence. The fact that 'we' (I don't) embrace that fucker pisses me off to the core. I want to smack every supporter HARD saying "We were supposed to be better than this". "Ya, but everyone else cheated, so who cares". "BECAUSE WE FUCKING DIDN'T" you dumb shits. Remember when we were better than everyone else? Ya. Not any more. We can never play that card again. And that was a REALLY fun card to play.

Just read the article. We're fucking appealing? Please just stop being such a fucking douche bag school.

It's not just that scumbag program. It's everything. I'm really over humanity.

As Dr. Cox said, "Lady, people aren't chocolates. D'You wanna know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard-coated bastards with bastard filling."

Stewart Mandell over at The Atlantic earns my respect.

Yeah, settlement between $15M and $20M, is my guess. But, private institution, so we'll probably never hear.
He sued for $130 million. Sounds like he won...
In a statement released Thursday, Northwestern said Fitzgerald did not condone or direct any of the alleged hazing.

"While the litigation brought to light highly inappropriate conduct in the football program and the harm it caused, the evidence uncovered during extensive discovery did not establish that any player reported hazing to Coach Fitzgerald or that Coach Fitzgerald condoned or directed any hazing," the statement read. "Moreover, when presented with the details of the conduct, he was incredibly upset and saddened by the negative impact this conduct had on players within the program."
But... like I predicted
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Yeah, NW's leaders fucked that whole situation up, and honestly, should be removed from their jobs.

Fired a popular coach based on hearsay and it cost the university tens of millions.
