I have heard Bill hasn't actually signed his contract yet. That's weird.

UNC AD says the agreement is binding, regardless, or something?

First substantive Bill B recruiting news - Pulls SMU 4* DE to UNC.
247Sports ranks him a four-star prospect and the nation's No. 27 edge rusher.
He has actually only been playing football for three years. He was originally a basketball player who came over from Nigeria to play hoops before being asked to try out for football before his sophomore year.
Picked up two 4 stars in transfer portal for 2025. 16th ranked transfer class now. This isn't playoff caliber, but it's better than 6-7, I hope.

I don't think he's going to be there for more than this year. Maybe not even this year if Jerry Jones truly wanted him in Dallas.

Ryan Day looked more relieved than elated in the post-game interview. Usually he's pretty fired up after a big win.
Im sure its that 1000 pound gorilla thats finally off his back.

He needed this to save his job, although it was probably 25% safe after Tennessee, 50/50 after Oregon, and 75% after Texas.
I've never disliked Day as a person. I'm honestly proud to have a guy that prioritizes the actual players' well being. However, he didn't get the rivalry, and that shows. (I also only count 1 loss for him, this year's. The other 3, 2 he was definitely being cheated, and 1 he didn't have time to adjust all the signals.) Unfair as it may be considering the booger eating Harbaugh is a cheating piece of shit, Day's record against top ranked opponents and TTUN was a losing one. And that does include a BS call against Clemson and one big missed FG against GA, which many say was the true national championship game that year.
He gave up play calling this year, which helped a ton.
However, there is still something missing and I know what it is: He's not an asshole. The two best coaches in college football of the last 20-30 years were Saban and Meyer, two massive assholes. They had that killer instinct and "I'm just better" attitude that Day doesn't have. Look at the human garbage that Jim Harbaugh is and the lengths he went to win. Day's not that guy. He's not Tom Osbourne, whose own scumbag move was worse than Harbaugh's. He's not Brian Kelly who is directly responsible for a kid dying and then faked a Southern accent.
He's not a dick and showing growth. Unlike Tomlin, Day hires good staffers and shows improvement.

Let's see how he coaches with that off him. Although, he still has to beat "team integrity" up north.

That delay was so odd.
Next year's first OSU football game is Texas visiting the Shoe. The "way too early" preseason rankings have OSU at #1 and Texas at #2.
#1 in week 1 is nice for the previous season's champ, but OSU will not be #1. Too many starters are heading to the NFL. We should still have Downs and Smith, but most everyone else will be underclassmen or transfers, including a new QB.

Ha!
I think he's padding his nest egg. He's got his title and is close to retirement. $3.1M makes him the highest paid coordinator in college.
