Definitely one of my favorite story lines of this season.

Absolutely hilarious.

Also, how the hell did they win those 2 games?

They beat 6-6 Cal, which does seem a little surprising, and they beat 1-11 Charleston Southern.

I didn't watch, but I see there's controversy over the latest playoff rankings because 2 loss Miami was left out for 3 loss Bama. Shocker that an SEC team is being given preferential treatment.

----------------------------------------------------------

There is a lot of smoke that Urban Meyer is trying to get the OSU HC job again should Day be fired. I don't know how I feel about that. Urb would clearly get the program right, but he's a total asshole.

----------------------------------------------------------

This type of thing is why Cake's right not to follow college recruiting until they lock these kids in with contracts (coming soon) and close the transfer portal. This kid was originally committed to OSU, went to Nebraska claiming legacy, and now wants to head to the 2nd easiest conference.

Urban released the statement below, and every single person responded with the same thing I thought when I first saw it: "So, Urban to the Buckeyes is confirmed..."

Man, bieniemy was on the cusp of a NFL HC job, but can't even keep an NCAA OC job

He'll be in Pittsburgh next year.

BTW, I heard Art turned down the UNC job because he believes he'll get another NFL HC job. He should be delusional, but he's probably right.

That makes zero sense.

Great coach, but I don't think Bill and college (ANY college) are a fit.

Also, he's 72. 1 year younger than the dude we replaced.

But his GF is 28 (or around that), so maybe that keeps him young?

First-round byes
No. 1 Oregon (Big Ten champ)
No. 2 Georgia (SEC champ)
No. 3 Boise State (Mountain West champ)
No. 4 Arizona State (Big 12 champ)
First-round games
On campus, Dec. 20 and 21
No. 12 Clemson (ACC champ) at No. 5 Penn State
No. 11 SMU at No. 6 Texas
No. 10 Indiana at No. 7 Notre Dame
No. 9 Tennessee at No. 8 Ohio State
ESPN Projections for playoff. I can't really argue. You could debate OSU/Notre Dame, maybe. But Bama staying home would be a win for humanity.

Psu and Texas swapped, but otherwise that is how it ended up

Yeah, I'm fine with it.

Bama not going is awesome. I get Bama fans being mad, but they really don't have an argument. The SEC is down this year despite what the hype machine called ESPN says. Having three losses, including one to Vanderbilt, just isn't enough to climb over other teams. SMU lost on a last second FG in their championship game. Bama didn't even make their championship game.

The murderers bracket is Tennessee-OSU-Oregon. Holy shit. None of those teams can be happy about that. Ryan Day has a huge mountain to climb to keep his job.

The SMU-PSU-BSt is the weakest, but will be competitive.

I think GA has the easiest road.

The other bracket, I think the first game is the tougher game...

This should be a fun tourney. My early picks are: (Just round 1)
Texas
OSU (If Day loses, he'll be fired the next day.)
PSU
ND

Georgia definitely should have the easiest path. I agree with your predictions. Then Texas, PSU, UGA, and Oregon.

Devin Brown entering the portal after the playoffs.

I'm actually a bit shocked by this one. This is a "ride or die" kind of guy. I think someone sat him down and told him that he has zero chance to start next year. Air Noland and Sayin are currently in the program and OSU just got another 5 star QB commitment for 2027 over the weekend.

I hear UNC needs a QB... and OL, and DL, and RBs... and WRs... and... oh right, a coach.

Devin's a really good kid. He'd be an excellent stop gap for UNC while your new coach is recruiting.

UNC-Belichick flirting continues.

This continues to make zero sense. I don't think either wins if they hire him.

Bama's AD makes SOS threat after they were left out.

Seriously, what a cunt. For almost two decades you've played nobody, never went on the road except in conference, and have bitched about anything not going your way. On behalf of the rest of college football, "Shut the fuck up."
