Speaking of sneaking kids on board, the day we disembarked our cruise ship there was a largish family that got stopped at the gate where you officially get scanned off the ship... And they got pulled aside because they had one kid more than what they'd paid for.

I.heard cruise ships don't play with that stuff. They always find out.

I didn't pause to get info, but it wasn't the cops. They were asking questions that suggested they snuck an extra kid on board.

At Customs, though, they asked my kid (who looks like me) a few questions to make sure I wasn't stealing him.

I guess she suspected I was gay.

I'd heard about the incident in news blurbs, but not the motivation. Kind of worrying about the competence of airline mechanics.

Around those geothermal features, the ground often erodes away under a top layer of crust. It looks like regular ground.... until it collapses under you, and you find yourself in a literal pool of boiling acid. All they're going to find of you in a day is your metal belt buckle... maybe. And for a while you'll stain the natural colors of the spring.

I always wish that on people who don't follow the rules at Yellowstone.
