That's coming. I have no doubt about that.

The iWatch and iPhone and Fitbit and yada yada can already share information to each other and your PC and yada yada.

So having the actual machines join that "discussion" is a no brainer.

My idea is still valid, though. I don't care what method they use, and I provided two examples, but the weight machines should do this simple data collection for you, and you should be able to analyze that data however you want, to the point where your thumb drive (or whatever) will transfer processed data back to the machine and just tell you what you should be doing, today.

Yeah, you really need the workout machines playing along with this one. If you can bump two goddamn phones together and share info, you can do something similar here.

So one of you get on this, do all the work, and give me my 10%.

Better yet, form a team. Let me know if you need any more design insight.

Lifting again is making me feel great. One night early on I went to bed and rolled over into my stomach... and I felt like I was lying on something... I'm like, "What is this..." turns out it was just my pecs getting all muscle toned. Not used to that any more.

Problem is, I am mainly trying to lose weight. I am getting a lot stronger, but I am not dropping the pounds. Yes, I am prolly losing fat and gaining muscle... but I still need to lose about 30 more pounds, total, by March. Thinking maybe I need to hit my strength goal, and then just maintain that and really drop the carbs out of the diet.

I dropped carbs. When I do it, I try to induce ketosis as quickly as possible. I eat in the morning, then exercise throughout the day to burn off glycogen stores, with no more meals, just water.

I did that yesterday, no carbs for breakfast or lunch, and was making a ton of ketones by this afternoon.

I'm mostly trying for weight loss right now. Doing push-ups only.

A couple of suggestions for youse both:
1. Skip breakfast, or at least try to go for as close to 16 hours of fasting as you can
2. During this fasted state, roll with some caffeine and maybe do a little light cardio (brisk walk) toward the end of it
3. Do some hi-intensity intervals. I used to do Tabata sprints, but you could do some stationary bike intervals.

One night early on I went to bed and rolled over into my stomach... and I felt like I was lying on something... I'm like, "What is this..."

Jeez, y'all gonna let him tee it up like that???

Personally I've noticed that my lats go to "sleep," like when you lay on your arm. Only it's my whole fucking side.

My hand goes to sleep when I lay on my side, whichever one is attached to the higher shoulder. Kinda scary.

I hadn't considered the obvious joke, probably because I am already accustomed to my big veined hog being down there. I meant it felt like my upper body was lying on something. Turns out it was just my pumped up pecs.

I signed up for 6 games. Have lost 9 pounds.

So far I've won $1.50 in 1 one game.

You sure it wasn't your deformed balls or perhaps your microwave has been acting up?

2 more games ended, up 9.30 + 14.02 + 1.50 = 24.82

Words, fucking seriously, and how they affect what you eat.

Then, there are people with IQs larger than their shoe sizes who are doing real research.

Israeli researchers, writing in the journal Cell this week, have found that different people's bodies respond to eating the same meal very differently — which means that a diet that may work wonders for your best friend may not have the same impact on you.

Seriously? Someone got paid to research this? I've know this for decades.

On the other hand, a large # of people don't, as based on the various fitness boards I've visited.

"Calories in/out all that matters"
"No carb is the only way"
"Low fat is the only way"
etc, etc...

My trick this go round has been, "Hit the gym hard, cut out 75% of my typical carbs and sugar, and eat less."

Started lifting. I have knee issues and left shoulder issues, so trying to start slowly. One set, 4-12 reps, using a machine. Press, fly, lat pulldown, some kind of shoulder shrug thing,

I do 12 reps every set.

Why 12?

Because 10 reps is for girls doing kegel exercises in their vaginas.

Uh, your body needs calories to do work.

So does your mom.

I have plenty of fat reserves from which to pull calories. Kind of the point.
