Still haven't gotten a wheat seed.

Once i get wheat, we turn the corner a lot on what we can do.

You'll be happy to know that the hemp I'm growing will eventually let me make a super sling, or, if you want to put some points into sewing, you can make it, too.

Rage: Considering saving up for that, so if we get attacked, I can try to defend. However, how often do you think we'll get attacked? If we are, what are the odds it will be by a few enough people that one, or even two of us could defend? I read that the goons will go out and randomly wipe someone out. In that case, we can't do anything but watch. Smaller griefers though. . . we could defend against. But, will that happen often enough to worry about? Exploring around, I'm finding people playing closer to us than I thought they were. Full on fenced in house to the NW of us. Other settlements showing up here and there. The biggest one to the NW had about 5 or so hearth fires burning.

If you see anyone that has wheat that isn't claimed, let me know asap!

Dunno about Rage, I think anyone we fight now would just roll us, better to focus on getting better first.

Ya, I would focus on getting better of course. But I guess that's what I'm asking. Should I keep going down the combat road. Mainly right now for hunting (killed a handful of sheep and have more hides drying), but eventually for protection. I'm not doing ANY farming or anything, so I'm trying to keep the hides coming in. So, I could pick up sewing to make the sling, but if you are sewing for other stuff, then I'll keep picking up marksmanship. I see another hearth fire, is that Catt?

Because LP are hard to come by, I think it's best to keep overlap to a minimum. But, I think I'm going to have to pick up survival so my Q in hides/meat goes up. You aren't always there to harvest for me. Then there's cooking. We harvest high Q meat, but kill it when we cook it! You are doing the farming thing and exploration.

Should we be planning better to maximize our LP use?

It's just CRAZY how stupid this game is, but how much I want other people to play it so we can become more powerful. . . .

I don't have any points in sewing or carpentry, since your a hunter and get skins, and need wood for arrows and bows, that might be a good niche for you.

I think so. Survival is so all encompassing it seems like everyone should have it.

Archery is ssssllllloooooowwwww. But, has a higher damage chance. I've seen hits between 7 and 102. But, I have to shoot 3 times slower.

Found a few totally different terrain areas.

Sitting in the middle of a huge lake right now, lost as hell, but trying to find sand.

Did it.

Found a encampment with wheat out in the open. AND A PUMPKIN!

Still bummed I didn't find any sand.

We officially have stuff worth stealing... time to raise up walls.

First post on the palisade will be down.

Feel free to add to the walls, not sure about how big it should be yet, we'll have to play it by ear.

You can chop any trees less than 15 steps away from the claim, I can build better quality trees at this point...

Need blocks only to extend the wall. You leave spaces in the wall for the gate. They recommend you extend your claim at least 1 or 2 tiles beyond your gate some people can't grief you and wall you inside your own walls. When you build the gate, you get a key. To copy the key, you need all kinds of shit. I've read about bugs destroying keys and copies are highly recommended. Devs won't replace keys or destroy gates if they are lost. Villages have been closed because of this.

FYI.

Why don't we just make a bunch of gates?

I figured the same thing. If for nothing else so we can leave our property in any direction. I didn't make much fence due to not really knowing gate location/layout.

Let's do three riverside, and two on the opposite? Store the extra keys in the house, or something?
