According to the biased people, yes, that is reality. They're in it for The People. Gosh darnit. Fighting inflation!

Maybe you never had one of those history classes where they tell you to find primary sources and stuff.

Seems relevant to the conversation:
TheCatt wrote: Sun Aug 18, 2024 3:41 pm Even without those, he lies all the fucking time. He lies about the election, he lies about himself, sooo many lies.
A recent book I read, "Whose your caddy?" by Rick Reilly has a chapter where he caddied for Trump. This was made years prior to his entering politics. It's an interesting read at this point due to what we've gone through with him. Very unbiased writing too. He is pretty blatant about being as impressed by Trump as confused by him.

Do not confuse this for any defense of him or his lies. Just saying it's a really interesting read after the fact. It'd be like someone digging up an old interview with Obama from his Harvard days.

It's also why I wonder how much of his schtick is just hyperbole and how much is pathological, because he's always been this way. Is he a malicious narcissist with a fragile ego or is he a fragile egoed people pleaser?

Back to the lies...
I'm less concerned about the quantity of lies by either party and more concerned by the scale, longevity, and coordination (for lack of a better word). Which one lies less doesn't make them the better party, whomever that might be.

Vote third party! :D

GORDON wrote: Fri Aug 16, 2024 9:13 pm Well fucking finally. That shit floods my FB feed, every third post, and not once has any video been presented.

Now I want to know how they got 2,000 people cleared to go into a private hanger at DTW.
Invasive FB algorithm:

I was getting "look at this fake hanger pic," literally, every 3rd post on my wall, from a hundred different sources. I posted that, "No, look, here's video" on a single one of them.........

And I never saw that post again, from anywhere.

So how in the hell is that possible.

More examples of lies.

Politicians lie to gain power. I live with that. It's fine. What concerns me is the MSM. Pretty biased and losing autonomy is concerning.

Scott Adams got in big trouble for saying if black people hate white people, then white people should avoid black people.

The economic forum was crazy. Trump was lobbed softballs about his policies, and whiffed every damned time. I say it again, without Biden to compare to, he looks completely dementia-brained. I could have done better with no prep.
