Can you imagine showing up to work everyday in your 60s or 70s with EVERYONE expecting nothing but perfection from you? Having to go kiss the asses of teenagers and their families 24/7. Pretend that you like or give two shits about their interests. Traveling all over the country constantly on your ass kissing tours. And then someone says they're going to give you $76M to not do that anymore.
Honest answer?
They were 25-25-1 in the years prior to Stalions. This explains why US Integrity is a part of the investigation per the B1G's letter to TTUN.Multiple unconfirmed reports are suggesting the Michigan football program is now being investigated for gambling-related infractions.
Michigan had a 19-6-1 record ATS in 2021-22 when Matt Weiss was with the team, but just 5-4-1 this year.

Good for them. They were the ones that got left behind. They should get what's left.
That would be hilarious, but then make everyone hate them.. The departing schools, as they did in writing earlier this month, expressed concern that OSU and WSU could withhold revenue set to be distributed during this academic year.
They won't do that as such a petty move could really bite them in the ass later, but it would be funny.
Cry more.
Yes, professional leagues became much more popular post WW2, and college programs became more structured as well. the 50's and 60s were huge from NFL growth.Cakedaddy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 3:53 pm And why the 1950's forward? Was there a fundamental change in the game, or is that just when you guys figured shit out and got better so you only want to look at those years? That's probably what it is. . . Don't cherry pick the years that make you look good!
I am with you there. I'm amazed at how people are so willing to believe bullshit. Human nature though...Cakedaddy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 3:53 pm As far as the current cheating stuff. . . I keep hearing "Harbaugh didn't know about it. He just thought Stalions was really good at quickly deciphering the other teams' signals". I also keep hearing how sign stealing is illegal and other teams aren't being investigated cause everyone is just jealous and hates Michigan. I've given up trying to explain things. It would be easier to get a D to vote R.
That's interesting and I have no idea. Were those wins actually vacated? That would have put them at the top of the list I posted and they aren't there. I wonder if PSU instead just erased Joe Pa and Sandusky from their history and paid money to the victims and that was that?
There was a lawsuit, and the settlement was to restore the wins. There had been a $60M fine already, it was converted into anti-abuse programs. Scholarships were also reinstated, along with post-season eligibility.
In 2012, the NCAA vacated all of Penn State's wins from 1998 through 2011 as part of its punishment.[12] State Senator Jake Corman used the Freeh report as a basis to sue the NCAA, asserting that both Freeh and the NCAA had collaborated and failed to follow due process. Corman released emails showing "regular and substantive" contact between NCAA officials and Freeh's investigators, suggesting that Freeh's conclusions were orchestrated.[13] In a 2015 legal settlement with Penn State, the NCAA reversed its decision and restored all 111 wins to Paterno's record.[14][15]
