I think it's valid, but only because that same team went 12-0 the following year under Meyer (and should have won the national title against undefeated ND). However, to be fair to your point, that interim coach was Luke Fickell.
ESPN does actually journalism and finds one of the scouts for Stalions.

I don't know the significance of Luke Fickell (or insignificance).
I'm just saying, your program was such that that was what you went on to the field with. Your school/program made the choices it made, and that was the result of those choices. Do we erase the next 7 years of games because our program is about to be FUCKED, because we fucked ourselves? If you want to give us the next 7, you can have that 1.

He coached Cincy into the CFP and is now the HC at Wisconsin. Point being, he's legit.
You are reading WAY too far into "interim coach". Nobody is taking the win away from you. It was just being pointed out that the year you beat us fairly, we ended the season with a different coach than who started the season.Cakedaddy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 11:45 pm I'm just saying, your program was such that that was what you went on to the field with. Onto actual football...
-I thought PSU would come out and destroy Indiana to make a statement after losing to OSU. Nope. They damn near lost the game.
-Kansas!
-USC sucks, and it's mainly their D, which happens to be run by a guy OSU ran off because he sucked.
-If you're Caleb Williams, shouldn't you at least consider sitting the rest of the season?

If this OSU team is to win the title, they need the same run they had in 2002. Stifling D and just enough O. I have zero faith in McCord. Marv is putting up big numbers despite McCord.

WSJ News Exclusive: The University of Michigan has rescinded a contract offer for head football coach Jim Harbaugh in the wake of a sign-stealing scandal. The deal would have made him the highest-paid coach in the Big Ten.

Stalions was probably on the sideline for CMU vs MSU.
The CMU HC is a former TTUN coach and friend of Harbaugh's.
The guy that looks a lot like Stalions had on thick spy sunglasses. The kind with a camera in them. In some of the videos you can clearly see the blue recording light is on.

You have too much hate in your heart.
B1G coaches demand B1G grow a spine and do something about TTUN now.
How could you not? How stupid do you have to be to think "Sure, this cost people their job, ruined athletes' experiences and potential chances at the next level, cost CJ Stroud a Heisman, and so on, but c'mon, who would be mad about that?""I don't think the Big Ten understood how upset everyone was,"
This isn't going away. You have talking heads at all the MSM outlets writing pieces and opining every day about how this is potentially the biggest on field cheating scandal to ever take place. Every day new details are coming out that make it look even worse. The longer you wait to take action, the worse you look and the more the game's integrity is forever hurt.

Only for the assholes.
B10 or the NCAA has to vacate everything Michigan has done since this started. I see no other option.
And letting it go on as-is, possibly ruining another team's post-season? bullshit.

Knight was absolutely an asshole, but he did a lot for the game and for his kids. Outside of one player, the vast majority of his players, including Isaiah Thomas speak very, very highly of Knight, how he treated them, and how he changed them for the better as people.
-All wins going back to 2021 including the 5 or 6 this year before the story broke need to be vacated.
-All conference awards given to their players and coaches during this time vacated.
-Harbaugh needs to be shown the door for failure of institutional control at the very least. Although many videos have surfaced showing him interacting with Stalions during games, meaning he knew.
-All of the other coaches involved need to be blacklisted and given "show cause" types of labels before being allowed to coach again in the B1G. That will include coaches currently at other B1G schools, like Josh Gattis at Maryland.
Honestly, TTUN should be shut down for the year right now. None of their coaches should still be coaching. It's too late to bring in a whole new staff. Who knows what sign stealing intelligence they still have on upcoming opponents, and it's not like teams can quickly change their signs. Plus, even if they could, it still gives TTUN an advantage as their opponents have to spent time on that rather than game planning. Don't feel bad for their players either because they knew.
Continuing to allow them to play and compete for a national title is a spit in the face of ALL other players and fans. It makes a mockery of the entire sport. How can anyone take it seriously when a blatant cheater is allowed to continue playing for the top prize, especially when we all know if they win it will just be forfeited later?
Agree, and this is just what I think the B1G needs to do immediately. The NCAA is a whole other discussion for next year when they finally get around to it.

Good question. I think fans should hold a contest to see who can stuff the most $100 bill into the airways of B1G officials if they don't act. Then it's win-win. Fans get justice and the B1G officials get paid.

I also think Michigan should get shut down immediately. I wish they would do it voluntarily. I really don't want us to play anything post season.
I do however, feel bad for the players. Did they know? Sure. But that's not why they joined the team. This isn't what they signed up for. But once there, it's a HUGE ask, to ask them to turn the program in for cheating. Is it the right thing to do? Sure. But to be the one that ruins everything for everyone? Too much for those kids. Especially when it's the coaches breaking the rules. Should they blow the whistle? Yes. Do I understand that they didn't? Absolutely. Should their season end? Yes. Do I feel bad for them? Yes.
They were a good team that will never get to know how good they actually were. Will always wonder if they were good enough to still win even without cheating. TCU was the only team that beat us, and it wasn't by much. It took the first half of the game for Michigan to realize TCU was using their "knowledge" of the stolen signs against them. Second half, Michigan just played football and came back. So who knows. Maybe just playing fair, Michigan could have done better. Also, we could have just ducked and Harbaugh would have been gone sooner, kids' college years wouldn't have been fucked, etc.
Lots of "what ifs" all ruined by cheaters. Kids' college careers ruined by coaches decisions, and the kids going along with it (willingly or due to peer pressure). I hope all of the coaches have ruined careers. I hope the kids can recover.
That is, assuming they really did all of this. . . .
