I only got the one big bone...TheCatt wrote:Thib - Another interesting point was the 5:1 ratio of muscle:bone weight, basically meaning you cannot get more than 5x your bone mass in muscle mass. Which reminded me of when we were talking the other day and you had talked about basically leveling out on strength gains.

Today I did an off-road triathlon.
880 yd (1/2 mile) lake swim.
14 miles of single-track mountain bike (on trails I've never ridden before)
3.1 mile trail run (lots of steep hills).
Fuck me. I knew it'd be a challenge, but it kicked my ass. The 91/92 degree weather didn't help. I was sweating buckets before we even started.
I did OK in the swim (top half), but not well in the biking or run (~70/93 in each)... just glad I finished by the end.
131 people signed up, only 93 finished. I don't know how many people DNF'd (or simply didn't show up), so technically, I finished like 72 / 131

It's not me, it's someone else.

I started an exercise program Saturday morning along with different meal choices.
Woke up this morning and weighed myself for giggles and I was down 5 pounds.

I have never heard of Zevia before.Alhazad wrote:What's your diet soda choice? I liked Zevia, even though it made me feel like a gay hipster.TheCatt wrote:Quit eating carbs again.
Diet Sierra Mist typically. 1 Diet Dr Pepper in the morning.
Trying to wean myself from diet soda though and just drink more water.

Mix 2-3 different types of fruit juice together. Mix in sparkling/seltzer water if you want fizz. I've tossed in powdered gatorade and caffeine as well.

Yeah, or just put cupfuls of corn syrup straight into an IV so you get the full kick.
"The human body isn't designed to process this form of sugar at such high levels," Goran said in a statement. "Unlike glucose, which serves as fuel for the body, fructose is processed almost entirely in the liver where it is converted to fat, which increases risk for diabetes, cardiovascular disease and liver disease."

Hmm. Interesting. Been cutting mine with 50% water for a bit. I'm not drinking the equivalent of four cans of apple juice per day, though, and mine mainly comes after moderate or more cardio. I'll still take 8-12 oz. of juice with bonus vitamin C over cola. Apparently, you can get this other powder with no sugar ... no not that one. I also cannot overemphasize how awesome this has been. Do not let the stupids sway you.
Recommended doses range between 1/64 and 1/16 of a teaspoon. It's really hard to safely use that amount of caffeine powder, something that most of the companies acknowledge with warning labels (some small, some large).
No, it's not. Buy a $20 digital scale. They all go down to 100s of mg, which is all the detail you need. I got almost two years of caffeine for $10. Make some buzz (soda) water and flavour it from there as you like. I'm comfortably level at 200mg per week day, half at once.
As a side note: I did have a huge-ass syringe of glucose slowly injected into me for an experiment back in the day. Felt viscous as fucking gelatin.
