You cannot convince me that the NCAA is there to protect the kids. All they ever do is hurt them while turning a blind eye to abuses.
Yes. They are complete fucking shit.

Oregon St and Wash St making a bid to take control of the Pac-12.
This is the smartest path forward for them. Yes, they may get demoted from the P5 tier, but having that Pac-12 brand will still mean something. It definitely means more than the Mountain West Conference brand.

Fanduel is doing this cool odds boost campaign right now. 50% boost to your odds on any parlay. I did a 12 teamer for fun. $5 wins me $95.
UNC tried its best to blow it for me while every other team won or was winning.
I struggled through that game to win and then 5 minutes later Buffalo blew it against Fordham.

Yeah, JFC. Ugh that was painful to watch, and I only watched the end.

The A&M game cracked me up. A&M had no defense at all. Quite concerning considering all the money they spent on it.
Down goes Bama. They didn't look very good either.
MSU kind of has to be rooting for this to result in termination.
That's the only way they're getting out of the monumentally stupid 10yr/$100M contract they gave him.

He is now suspended.
But, it gets better...
Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker is suspended without pay while the university completes an investigation into claims that he sexually harassed a prominent sexual assault awareness speaker after she was hired to speak with the Spartan team.
Goodbye remaining $80M on your contract because you thought it would be a good idea to sexually harass the sexual assault awareness speaker.
This is next level stupid.

It was consensual! Man, good luck surviving this.
I hope he opened with "Sexual assault awareness? I've got some sexual assault to make you aware of"

USA Today has all the details on the Tucker scandal.
To the university it doesn't matter if it was consensual or not. (And I definitely don't think either person is telling the whole truth.) They can say having an affair with a vendor is cause.

This isn't going to be pretty. MSU's in a tough spot. Her story is certainly believable, and he's not helping himself by messing up the details.

It is believable, but I do wonder about the gifts, why they talked so often, and why both deleted all the texts between them.
Also, how unlucky is she to have been raped/molested by two different people at different times before she's 10, then gang raped, and then this whole thing with Tucker?

How terrible are men, that those things happened?
All four men were arrested and charged after Brenda Tracy reported the incident to the police the following day. However, Tracy refused to testify in court after the incident, as she received a lot of backlash and death threats.
"I started receiving death threats. Given the pressure, and also the [district attorney] saying I didn't have a good case. The DA said it was a ‘he said, she said.’ I dropped the charges. And then my community said, ‘See, we told you she was a liar. Because if she was really raped, she would prosecute.’ "
Plausible.
Kid rape from relatives/neighbors/etc is probably more common than we'd think, especially going back in time, and especially in certain demographics (poverty, etc).
Tracy said she was sexually abused as a minor, up until age 5 by a family member, then again at 9 by a neighbor.
Again, entirely plausible.

It's possible that she's exaggerating. I don't know for sure.

FYI, I absolutely agree it's all plausible. I wasn't questioning her, although because I cannot resist a joke...I think Scott Adams has some advice for her...

Men are indeed designed by nature to be "terrible". In quotes because I think Mother Nature would disagree.
Civilization has definitely allowed us to abandon the darker aspects of our nature. It's just sad that so many haven't gotten the memo.

FSU tried, but eked out a win, somehow. Same with WFU (unranked, though)
