Watching UNC win games this year has been too stressful. 6 and 0 away from home, all one score games, 5 of those 3 or less points. Defensive stops or INTs from a team that had none all game. Just uggggghhh

Reminds me of the 2002 National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes. No offense, but that D was a world beater.

Maybe UNC is following the same path?

Penn State is ranked #14. They have 2 losses. The teams they lost to are #2 and #3 in the nation. How is PSU only #14?

True, but they have blown out everyone else, including a mighty SEC team in their house. I continue to wish the rankings were more consistent and unbiased.

Texas A&M paid a LOT of money for this:

UNC HAS BEST RECORD IN THE COUNTRY for away only games

UNC has played 6 away games this year, and is 6-0 in those games. Other major (undefeated on the road) teams:

Oregon: 4
Tulane: 4

OSU: 3 (only 1 more on schedule)
LSU: 3
UGA: 3
UofM: 3
Coastal Carolina: 3

Only 9 total teams are undefeated on the road.

That's actually a really good stat.

OSU at Maryland is, I believe, our road game left. Not sure, if we win out, if the B1G championship game is considered a road game. Neutral field, so...?

championship is considered neutral. It is interesting that UNC appears to be the only power 5 that has a balanced home-away schedule. Guess they didn’t want to pay for chumps.

Let's see if that changes as they start becoming more consistently good in football. I'm betting it will.

It's rivalry week in Toledo with BGSU visiting. Apparently the entire Barstool Sports crew is in town for it. Tomorrow night on ESPNU.

This is the week before national rivalry week, so there are going to be some powerhouse matchups in the SEC!!!
Austin Peay @ Bama - UPSET ALERT!!!!
East Tennessee State @ Miss St
UMass @ Texas A&M - Holy shit! A&M might win a game!
Western Kentucky @ Auburn
UAB @ LSU
NMST @ Missouri

In sad news, a former UVA football player killed three current players and shot two other people.

Well, here's our basketball team's philosophy (granted, we have a new coach now)
Under Coach Williams the Tar Heels played more true non-conference road games (24), during the past 10 seasons, than any other of the 10 winningest programs of all time.
I couldn't find anything related to football, though. So maybe it's just a scheduling fluke this year?

Next year we have:
1 neutral
7 home (2 are home + homes, that happen to be home in this year, the other one looks like UNC is paying for a team to visit.)
4 away

2024: 7-5 (home-away)
2025: 6-6 (home-away)
2026: 7-5
2027: 6-6

(according to the current schedules)

I love the overloaded OOC road game schedule. It may piss off the school administrators trying to make money, but it's how to make a team mentally tough for tournament runs away from home.

I always respected Izzo for scheduling some hard games early.

UNC basketball is looking far from #1. Maybe #20.

MSU on the other hand, should be well ranked.

They should honestly be higher. Not kidding. I'd say 10. Their D might suck, but their O is really good.

Beat #4 Kentucky and lost by 1 to #2 Gonzaga? Them being unranked in one poll and 25th in the coaches. You're right, that will change drastically.

Toledo and BGSU had a pretty solid game last night.

For fun, pretend Nick Saban and Urban Meyer are still coaching them (respectively).
