I remember Windows Live dropped all PC/Xbox cros platform play because the PC peeps just annihilated the XBox peeps. They talked about adding in "cheats" to the XBox to help aim and stuff, but they still couldn't crank up the aimbot high enough to be competitive.
I like playing Wipeout HD on my big screen TV/PS3, though. So whatever. I just dont do it very often because in addition to better games my PC also has porn on it.

i get the aiming part of it, but i don't like walking around pressing buttons. It just feels clunky to me, I have never been able to get used to that. To me the controller just feels better and walking around is much easier.

I've had great fun co-oping the Halo series and Borderlands with Stranger on the X-Box, and would this time if not for the cost (I let my X-Box Live subscription expire).
Yeah, the controls suck, and the code actually cheats for you, but it's still great fun.
Hopefully, he'll be on a PC for Borderlands 3.

Here is some juicy info for those of you that have preordered and will get a golden key.
Do you open it right away, or wait till your a higher level? since this item will depend on what level you are when you open it, it makes it a tough decision.
And from what i've read so far, gold keys are only available if you preorder and you cannot get them in game... at least not yet.

From what I can tell, it gives you kick-ass loot but anything in the gold chests can show up as normal loot if the randomizer smiles on you.

According to the gearbox community manager:
"the loot inside the Golden Chest is always of “very rare” (purple) quality and scaled to your character’s level at the moment you open the chest."
But there is "ultra rare" and "legendary items", so i guess it will be something very nice, but prolly not worth waiting till level 50 to open it. Just my opionion.

agreed, towards endgame when your at max level purple weapons are being thrown at ya everywhere.
But it will help early to mid game, and since B2 has lockers to store weapons you can always use it for a second or third character when leveling them up.

First of all, there are a lot of fun games on consoles. They just aren't FPS.
Wanting to play a game on a better platform makes one elitist? I think it makes you smart!!
Yes, walking around with a controller is easier than walking around with a keyboard. But why are you walking around? Sit your ass down when you play the game. I think you might like playing on the PC way better if you do that.

So who are you guys gonna play first?
Axton the commando- nuke turrets that shoot rockets, Thats the build i would prolly go for
Maya the siren- Lots of utility with her. Can be a healer, damage dealer, or all sorts of crowd control
Zer0 the assassin- Either a shotgunning sword swinging bursty assassin, or a sniper that can max damage up to 999x. Thats insane!!
Salvador the gunzerker- can you say dual wielding 2 legendary rocket launchers?!?!?!?!!!
I'm not really sure who i wanna roll with first. What a dillema!!

I still haven't pre-ordered the game, but have until midnight. I'm debating not getting it yet, and just waiting for a Steam sale. The fact that I'm even thinking about ordering it at full price says a lot about the quality of the first game.
(Again, if you haven't played it yet, and you love FPS games, you owe it to yourself to get the damn thing and play it. It is easily one of the most underrated games ever.)
I was looking at either the turret guy or the new class. Although, the assassin might be a nice counter to the tank I played in the first game...

Did the Roland turret/support thing last time. Rockets, occasional equipment crates, and missiles got shot out, I believe. My class add-on meant infinite ammo. All my gun levels were a minimum of 30, and a few were maxed. I simply couldn't absorb the damage when my partner (playing the Siren, whatever her name is) would phase and all the fucking critters attacked me. Turret cooldown took too long, too.
Think I'll go Zer0. I still can't believe they dropped PvP in this game. It could be fucking awesome.

Yeah, I considered that, but the problem is that my kids are older and require more work. It'd be impossible for me to get away as often.
Plus, there's League of Legends, which we play on the weekends, and when we normally do 5 man games...
My debate is:
-Spend $60 now on a great game and get the new class for free.
-Wait and keep playing the games I bought during the summer Steam sale, and then buy BL2 and the DLCs later in package deals.
The only problem with that is that I don't want to wait. This is one of the few games that I'm willing to pay full price to play now.
As for co-op, I was the tank and Stranger was the guy with the bird. We had a really good combo. I'd charge in and take all the damage while he and his bird sniped enemies. It was a blast.

In a way i am looking forward to that time in my life when the kid is grown and gone, i can sell the acreage and all the time that takes up, and i can move into a condo where someone else does the yardwork and fixes the plumbing.... so i can do nothing but sit around and own punks 10 hours a day, every day. Have 2-dayto long LAN parties with the boys. That sort of thing.
