Good. No Welsh lisp. No magically healing broken back and knee cartilage, no on-set tirades at the help.

Rumor has it that DC is heavily pressing Dwayne Johnson to play Green Lantern (the John Stewart version), Shazam, or Black Adam (he's white). There's an outside show they're working on something completely off the radar too.
I'd rather see him at Marvel playing Luke Cage.

Eh ... maybe. But Michael Jai White is better. John Stewart's not an over the top cat.
Shazam
No.
Black Adam
I'd be somewhat intrigued to see this.

Exactly, Rock is too charismatic for John Stewart, although after the aborted Ryan Reynolds GL, perhaps they want to combine Stewart with Jordan's personality.
I think he'd pull of an interesting Shazam, Rock is very likable, and pulling off childlike wonder in the body of an adult with Superman powers is in his range.
Rock's too likable for Black Adam.

I think he could turn on the douchebag faucet.
I never liked Shazam/Captain Marvel.

				I never liked Shazam/Captain Marvel.
I wasn't either until Kingdom Come.

Rock hinting that it's John Stewart.
Fuck.
As soon as Marvel knew they were making Luke Cage, they should have grabbed Rock.

I don't think Dwayne can restrain his performance enough for John.

WB has no plan for DC properties.
So basically, they're winging it.

Man of Steel 2 isn't Justice League.
That'll come later and be directed by Zach Snyder.
The most interesting tidbit in that article is that they're working on a 100 Bullets film.

By the time they get around to getting their universe's shit together all the current actors in all these roles are going to be too old to continue.
They are so stupid.

				I really don't understand what they're doing.
The iron is hot, strike!
There should be films in development for Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Justice League, etc., but they seem to be sitting on their hands.

				9 films in development.
DC will apparently go about their business differently than Marvel, however. DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson, appointed to her position three years ago and who reports directly to Tsujihara (the first time the head of DC has reported directly to the Warner Bros. CEO in company history) told the Journal, “It isn't about a single approach to everything. It's the right character matched with the right talent in the right medium."
Now granted, at least three of the films have nothing to do with what a casual fan would call "DC". 100 Bullets, Fables, and Sandman aren't stories that would exist alongside Superman and friends.
However, that attitude represents an ignorance and arrogance that gave us the Green Lantern film, and not one that will give us a DC version of what Marvel is doing.

If the person coordinating the whole thing isn't a superfan, like Whedon, it'll probably not work.

Not sure it matters. Based on what she's saying, they're not going for the coordinating thing.

We'll just return to this, then.
Is the entire board of executives from 1990's Fox TV now running things at DC/WB? "We don't know if we are going to create a DC universe ala the Marvel universe, all we know for sure is that we'd definitely cancel Firefly again."
