Started biking to work again lately, 2x/week now (since it's been raining a lot, and I don't like biking in the rain). It's only 11 miles round-trip, but that's still 500+ calories.

3 more pounds in June... 196. And I won $150 in the HealthyWage competition. If I drop 12 more pounds by January 5th, I can win $250 more. Plus, I'm winning the weight loss competition at work, with 4 months to go, I only need to lose 7 pounds.

July was a write-off thanks to vacations, and August didn't start much better.
But to start September, I'm down to 190. I did my first 100km bike ride, which ended in 7 miles of painful leg cramps (longest ride otherwise this summer only 36 miles). I did a 66 mile ride 2 weeks later, and despite the additional 4 miles, did it in only 2 more minutes, with a pace just under 18mph (2700 ft elevation). And two days ago I did my first 2 hour 19mph ride (at the beach, so only 180 feet of elevation, amazingly flat). In an effort to diversify my work outs, I tried doing Insanity once, and was sore for a week. Today I did bike intervals for the first time, trying to work on intervals/speed.
My swimming is improved, though have only been swimming 2.5 months. Managed to swim 2 miles last week without stopping, and have my first swim race in 2 weeks (1.2 mile open water).
I want to start weight lifting soon, but not sure where/when to start. My biggest concern is injuring myself before my swim, but once that's done, I have no more rides/swims until next year.

I'm so waiting to get more emphasis on the bench press and deadlifting after my right back muscles get drilled with enough ultrasound.
My quads and calves will let me leg press a Smartcar, though.

I've been really surprised that I've been able to keep hitting PRs on deadlift. Bench, squats, and overhead presses not so much

I'm betting I could squat as much as you deadlift. Everything else is advancing so damn slowly.

345 today. My new goal is:
By my next birthday, bench/squat/dead at 225/315/405 (that's 2/3/4 plates)
Right now I'm at 205/275/345, so I got a ways to go, but it's 7 months.

So is that reps, is that single rep, what is that?

Pounds. That is my weight goal for 1-rep-maximum.
2 plates = 2x 45-lb plates on each side (plus 45-lb bar) = 225 lb
3 plates = 315 lb
4 plates = 405 lb

You do one rep sets? Too much of a need for spotters.

No, I actually do this. Once a month I work up to a new 1-rep max.
That said, I have heard that some dudes (who are for-real powerlifters) do singles. Like, just keep adding weight and doing 1 rep till they can't add any more weight.

That's the opposite of what I do. Too much time wasted adding/removing weights, waiting for spotters, and such.
I do know the thing he's talking about, though. Tried it for a month or so.

Just won a weight loss contest... I lost more when I started 3 weeks ago (impossible to diet on the road) than everyone else managed in 1.5 months.
Going to take the prize money and replace that chunky old CRT monitor on my desk.

Nice! I won a weight loss competition last month, and made $110. I'm down to 190.
My final competition of the year ends Friday. I need to drop 4 more pounds to get my BMI under 25 (the goal of the competition). If I suck, I get $250. If I lose, I lose $150.
4 more pounds can be pretty easily done using Atkins + fasting/sweating the final days, so I'm not too worried. Heck, last time I biked 100km, I dropped 6 pounds even drinking more than a gallon of Gatorade and water.

The last week I willpowered myself into skipping breakfast and lunch and only eating a moderate (with no sugar/carbs) supper.... I know that's bad, but I wanted to win.... the problem was, I was eating so little food that the last couple days I wasn't pooping. Most of what I was eating was staying in my gut and I wasn't losing much.

Bam. 183 this morning. Had to hit 184 to win.

Whoo hoo! Got verified just now. For the two contests (one ended in July, the other just ended), I got $400 total. And, lost 41 pounds.
