Don't get too excited by his, or the other recruits', ranking. ESPN's rankings are typically looked upon as a joke.
Still, he's highly ranked among those, so this is a big get for UNC.

It's press. A 5 star comes to UNC, others see that.

Exactly why ESPN's SEC, and now ACC, bias is such a negative for college sports.

Are you drunk?
I was stuck at a wedding, so I missed most games until PSU-TTUN. My Twitter and FB feeds are filled with TTUN fans today saying Harbaugh needs to go.
I saw UNC went to 6 overtimes with VT.
Yeah, the Illini threw a monkey wrench into the works. This isn't the SEC where Bama could lose to Vanderbilt, and somehow they'd be excused for it because "SEC". I mean fucking Missouri is ranked for some reason that nobody can figure out.

I was drunk! Wife And I booked a hotel room away from the kids this weekend. It was awesome. Also I was on mobile. I watched almost no football.
So many chances to win that UNC game, sigh. Learned a new rule. 5th OT and beyond are two point conversions only, no other plays. One chance to score 2 points.
Per new rules passed beginning with the 2019 season, when a game reaches the fifth overtime, teams will begin to run alternating two-point conversion plays instead of offensive possessions that start at the 25-yard line.

Urb calling out CFB bias, the SEC, and Bama without actually calling them out by name.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Plus, they probably are thrilled putting someone up there that isn't an ACC or SEC team so they can say, "See! We aren't biased! We just make more money when the ACC and SEC are doing good and people want to watch their games. Why would that make us biased?"
That's based on all the computer stuff, which has been riding the OSU bandwagon all year. Both the FPI and the SP+.

Sparty tops pre-season AP poll for first time
The ACC, Big Ten and SEC each had four ranked teams to lead all leagues.
The ACC ended last season with four top-10 teams, then picked back up with four teams ranked in the top 11.
UNC - 9
OSU - 18
Should be a fun year

Can't believe Sparty is up top. That won't last as they're always good for dropping 1-2 games out of the gate.
Buckeyes should be an interesting team this year.

Usually, but they have an unusually experienced team after a final four run last year.

Speaking of teams who drop a few out of the gate...
Although, to be fair to MSU, they often play Kentucky/Kansas/UNC/Duke and teams like those early on.... not Robert Morris, Radford, Texas Southern, and Northeastern.

Indeed.

If he's not ready for LSU, Bama will probably lose. Their defense isn't very good this year and will have trouble stopping Joe.

I'm signing you up for the Mike Tomlin fan club.
(googles it)
DAMMIT, turns out there's only 1 member, and it was founded by Danny Snyder.

This is the sort of attention they should be getting with Mack Brown coaching now. Here's hoping they provide Clemson some competition.
