Sounds like they're adding other viewing options like Prime does.

I like adding them, but I don't like them being mixed in with your already paid content.

It'd honestly be great if making $x billions in profit every quarter was enough, and they didn't need to find ways to make it $x.1 billions.

They're through the first wave of innovation. They know how to provide the service reliably, and now they're fighting amongst themselves for subscribers, and content. There's nowhere for them to go in he field of "we stream better."

The next step is to go in the other direction, raise prices, provide shittier service, to find that sweet spot between profit, and losing customers.

The local cable company here has simply said no to ESPN. They told their customers that they couldn't come to an agreement so they completely dropped them.

My dad told me today that he needs help moving to a streaming service.

With Disney+ having started the year hemorrhaging users, but about to merge with Hulu...what if Disney said, "Fuck it this is the only place you can get ESPN"?

That's the prevailing theory on why they're being hard assess. Trying to get people to Hulu/ESPN this way
