I just don't see anything wrong with wearing a coat, I guess. It's better than having your clothes stick to you while sweating in the sweltering heat!

I'd rather sweat while changing a flat tire than rap my knuckles with the lug wrench at 12 degrees.

I miss snow. A lot.

But I'm too damn lazy to move, so I'll just sit here and whine about it.

I've heard the "Yeah well I ENJOY having different seasons." Always stuck me as jealousy.

To me, it hurts just as much as banging them on 212 degree asphalt. Well, I guess you don't scrap them. They fall off after the blister forms from the 3rd degree burns.

And personally, I wear gloves in 12 degree weather. :-)

Well that's just stupid.

If we needed warmth 365 days a year and couldn't handle cold then the Earth's entire population would live at the equator. There wouldn't be Winter Olympics or X Games. There wouldn't be a Jamaican bobsled team. Santa would be a surfer. There wouldn't be a Swedish Bikini Team. Etc.

Personally, I love the seasons, not just for the weather, but for everything that goes with them, and I think THAT is what people who live in warmer climates don't get.

With the change in the seasons comes changes in people and their behaviors. When it gets colder, people tend to do more indoor stuff. We have lots of parties, go out more, eat out more, use that time to vacation, etc. Neighborhoods get quieter as nobody is driving around with their radios blaring at 10 p.m.

I could do that list all day long for each season, but long story short, it's not just the weather that makes each season unique and enjoyable.

I like sunshine, warm weather and oceans I can swim in. Year round.

Or Los Angeles...

So what you're saying is that constant warmth makes people insane?

We rose, we just did it quietly and culturally.

See how popular Country, wrestling, and Nascar are?

We won.

Family friend moved to Hawaii when I was a kid. After the third year he'd always fly back for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. He said it was really cool at first walking along the beach in shorts on Christmas, but then it stopped feeling like Christmas.

The lights in the palm trees just weren't working for him after the first two years.

I spent Christmas in Cozumel once.

It was fine, really.

A couple weeks ago, I had to teach a southerner how to use a hat. We were standing in the cold, and he complained about his ears being cold or something. So, I grabbed the flap of material hanging from the back of my coat and pulled it over my head. I said "That's why you wear a hat!". He was happy to finaly figure out what that flap back there was all about. And it indeed did keep his ears/head warmer.

So, to the southerners here. That flap of material on the back of your coat/sweatshirt is a hat. It's pulled up over your head when it's cold out. It makes the cold not so cold. FYI.

I didn't have any 'gloves' to show him, so his hands were still cold. I'll find some and maybe post picks, just so everyone knows. :-)
