I'm reading that 5.9 is still the max?

New machine should be built no later than April 21st. Which means even if their 5-7 day shipping fucks up, it'll arrive by the beginning of May.

So how much $?
They've got a $350 off coupon again for that machine off of $1249 or higher:
NBS66584
If you paid more, cancel and re-order.

I believe I shall. Might upgrade the CPU. How long do they normally give you to cancel an order?

At Gateway, you had until it shipped.
And even then you could return it.

Rock. Do I have to call them or is there some automatic form to fill out?

I don't know. I returned mine after it arrived and it was SUPER easy. But you had to call.

Yeah, call for an RMA if it already shipped. Don't even open it, that way you don't need to repack it.
edit - Or, you could just try to get them to retroactively apply the new discount and save everyone the time. They might go for that. Newegg did for me, once.

Had to call their customer service line yesterday anyhoo. We'll see if they play ball.

Can effectively upgrade the CPU w\ another $100 with that deal. If I cancel the order, how long does it take them to credit back my account?

Order already sent to the factory or something. Probably have to wait till it shows up, send it back, wait for credit, then get a new one perhaps.

That would be company specific.

Holy balls.
The laptop has a ten-key set. Fucking awesome. As far as OS ease, smoothest development environment install ev4r. So far. The downloads from the MSDN site are being ... bitchy. Plugging this thing into a dock & a couple monitors or TV would be double plus fucking awesome. CPU & RAM look to be capable of hauling serious ass. I've got about a decade plus of PC gaming to catch up on.
EDIT : I also get to start fucking with the Parallels library in .Net 4. Rawk.
