Where there is one there is a dozen.
I said the same thing, but apparently this little guy had patches of fur missing on his body, so he was quite possibly the same mouse from the last few nights.
Still, they're going to setup another trap tonight.

When we had mice a few years ago in our garage, there were 4 that we caught and killed. If there were any more, they never made their presence known.
Prolly cuz I cut off the heads of the mice we got, and put their heads on toothpicks.

Even if you've got a few mice running around, they tend to be weird in how they go exploring for food. They make odd individual choices about what nooks and crannies to search. While only one or two might find a stash in a particular spot, there are probably other critters running around elsewhere.

Yesterday was a bad day to be wearing fur at my house. Number 17 in the morning. Wife bought new traps in the afternoon. Set them about 9. I set them back to back. Within 5 minutes I had a double 18 and 19.Don't know how I got the second. It was in a split second. He managed to drag the trap all the way to the back of the dishwasher. Had to use a stick to drag it back. Reset. Didn't take 5 more minutes. 20. Somehow this poor bastard was made into a sandwich by both traps. Actually took me a minute outside to figure out which one to spring first. This is the worst it has ever been. Might have to think about a cat.
Saw a flash of black in my family room. 21 coming.
